Perini Navi Yachts was created by Fabio Perini starting back in 1983 where Perini Navi first begun to design and build large sailing yachts in Italy. The idea behind Perini was to create yachts which, although volumous and large, could be controlled by only a small tight crew. Viareggio, Italy is still the headquarters of Perini Navi Yachts. Over the years Perini Navi has produced luxury sailing yachts measuring from between 80 to 210 feet in length. Perinis are traditionally cruising yachts, rather than performance yachts, and are typically synonymous with stability, generous interior size and luxurious comforts.
