Design Unlimited has once again teamed up with Ruea Yachts and naval architects BMT Nigel Gee to create a 75m motor yacht concept. This new superyacht design is an extension of the Ruea 60m Yacht Design concept created in 2010.
Ruea 75m Motor yacht – A Design Unlimited and BMT Nigel Gee Superyacht Design
The new Ruea 75m motor yacht design will be optimised for blue water cruising with features including extensive covered outside areas that flow easily and naturally into the spacious interiors. This is important in South‐East Asian waters where the tropical climate allows for year‐round cruising amid hot conditions 24 hours a day. In these circumstances the exterior spaces form an integral component of the living space, and so have been designed to combine comfort and amenities with protection from the overhead sun.
Another design element that is favoured by yacht owners in the region is the helicopter landing pad that retracts into a dedicated hangar at the stern. With frequent, short breaks a popular way of taking leisure time in South East Asia, this gives the owner and his guests easy and convenient access to and from the yacht at all times and wherever its location.
Ruea 75m Motor Yacht Master Suite – A Design Unlimited and BMT Nigel Gee Superyacht Design
The accommodation on the 75m (246.1 ft) Ruea yacht extends across three decks with the owners stateroom complete with studio and balcony on the main deck along with the main saloon, a guest double with bathroom and a cinema. The lower deck has four further en‐suite double guest cabins, plus the galley and crew quarters comprising eight twins and a double for the chief engineer.
Above the main deck the wheel house deck includes a sky lounge and the Captain’s cabin and office, together with the steering position. Finally the sun deck has a plunge pool / Jacuzzi, sauna and gym, alongside extensive seating and sun lounging areas. The 75m (246.1 ft) superyacht will be built by Ruea Yachts at their facilities in Thailand .
