With just 12 weeks to go until the superyacht conference and business networking events, jointly staged by Quaynote Communications and YachtMedia, the organisers have unveiled further additions to the program. The event will run concurrently with the 2015 Palma Superyacht Show, which is set to open its doors in the beautiful Mallorca yacht charter location on April 30.

Already confirmed for the ‘Future of Refit & Repair’ on Thursday 30th April was conference chairman Paul Miller, an ever popular veteran of Quaynote Conferences having very ably chaired all of the seven ‘Future of Superyachts’ conferences previously held in Palma since 2007.

On Friday 1st May the ‘Future for Captains & Crew’ Conference will be chaired by Norma Trease, who says she is delighted to have the privilege of presiding over a forum with an agenda that is so close to her heart, and having been an enthusiastic participant in Quaynote Yachting Conferences over many years.

Norma began her dynamic international yachting career as an award-winning yacht chef and licensed mate, after which she helped pioneer crew placement as the founder/owner of Crew Network.

Her business career has included the founding of yachting publications including Dockwalk and Crew Report, and she continues her tireless PR work for the yachting industry, by currently holding the title of Editor-at-Large with Yachting Matters. Norma also serves on the Board of International Superyacht Society and Professional Yachtsmen’s Association.  More recently she has been instrumental in the establishment of Marina Port Vell, a world class superyacht marina in Barcelona, where she has worked as a Director for the port developers, UK based Salamanca Marine.

As always, the Quaynote conferences will deliver topical and relevant content, with interactive discussion enabled by leading yachting industry figures, combined with a program that allows plenty of time for relaxed business networking.  On Thursday 30th April, the evening cocktail party immediately following the first day’s program will be held on the sunny terrace of the conference venue at Melia Place Atenea Hotel. The location provides an enjoyable ambience overlooking the port of Palma, and the cocktails will be sponsored by Jotun Paints Iberia.

After the ‘Future for Captains & Crew’ Conference on Friday 1st May, all delegates from both conferences will be invited guests of the Port Adriano Superyacht Marina, and will have free transportation to El Toro, about 20 minutes from Palma, to enjoy an evening in the trendy Philippe Starck designed port, with a welcoming cocktail provided by the Port Adriano Marina management.

The Quaynote Palma Superyacht Conferences are running concurrently with the 3rd Palma Superyacht Show, and the 32nd Boatshow Palma, thus presenting overseas delegates with a business efficient range of activities to engage with over a five day period, including an optional friendly Golf and Networking day on Saturday May 2nd.
