The superyacht industry is once again feeling dizzy and full of excitement for the latest mega yacht to emerge from the world-renowned Feadship shipyard in the Netherlands. Measuring impressive 96 metres, VERTIGO surely makes our heads spin with her striking exterior lines and interiors by Redman Whiteley Dixon and Chahan Interior Design and Azure acting as Owner’s project manager.

VERTIGO’s harmonious and proportionate silhouette is a typical trait of the Dutch yacht builder, boasting a flared bow with a games deck and a helicopter landing pad with a hangar below for a Bell 429 WLG helicopter.

The main deck aft hosts a revolutionary swimming pool created of glass panels, which also acts as a ceiling for the spacious beach club below. This 68-millimetre-thick structure required laminating together five layers of clear glass interspersed with foil. In addition, this 42,000 litre pool has an impressive S-curved shape and lowers to about 2.5 metres. A fantastic open panoramic view is allowed thanks to a drop-down cap rail and there is a waterfall flowing into the forward section of the pool, creating a natural separation between this exterior area and the interior of the yacht.

The fantastic sea-level beach club doubles in size when the transom and fold-down side terraces are opened. Vertigo’s custom-made tenders are launched the our the doors in the hull further forward – this feature is the first to be Feadship-Certified in a partnership with Tenderworks.

Wonderful feeling of openness spreads throughout the entire vessel, starting with the clear view from the beach club all the way to the sun deck allowed thanks to the use of glass railings with classic teak detailing. Furthermore the interior features large full-height windows throughout offering unprecedented ocean views and allowing for a huge amount of natural light to soak the interior.

Feature pieces include the double-sided fireplace made of limestone and quartz as well as decorative glass screens that divide the main lounge area from the dining area located forward. The beautiful floating staircase combines stainless steel, multi-textured stone and blue leather, adorned with plenty of finely detailed lighting.

The main deck hosts the cinema as well as guest accommodation, which is divided into six staterooms, including two VIPs, a hairdressing saloon and a dedicated pantry. The bridge deck above is home to two staff cabins convertible into guest suites if needed. This deck also boasts a club lounge, offices for owner and captain and the innovative Feadship wheelhouse.

The owner’s deck has been designed with an impressive forward-facing stateroom spreading the entire width of the superyacht and offering mesmerising 180-degree views, as well as a three-metre-high skylight ceiling above the bed perfect for romantic stargazing.

The sun deck has a dedicated gym with great views for an even more enjoyable workout. There is also a specially-made pizza oven with some impressive features – a classic example of special custom-made feature for which Feadship is well known for.
