Described as “55’ of simplicity and elegance”, the Paper Boat concept by the Artax Studio is a cleverly designed motor yacht. The clear and distinctive feature of this yacht design is reference to the lines of a traditional yacht folded from paper.

Like an actual paper boat, the Paper Boat Concept features a pyramid style cabin made of glass in which there is a kitchen island in the center with a sink, prep and cooking area. Bar-styled seats line one side of the island, enabling guests to view the chef preparing the meal.

The sleek and stylish 55’ paper boat yacht design features a collapsible Bullwark that creates a ‘terrace on the sea’ enlarging the useable space on the yacht and enhancing the connection with the sea. Retractable ladders have also been installed into the bulwark system aid that interaction with the water.

Main doors on the pyramid are able to fold upwards in a ‘seagull wings fashion’ which creates not only a bimini shade for those enjoying the sea terrace but also offers a connection to the sea throughout the main deck cabin.

Designed by Mattias Mazzucchi, Alberto Pietrobon and Andrea Valsecchi the 55’ Paper Boat Concept will be an interesting yacht if and when she is built.
