Anguilla Yacht Charter

Your Guide to Yacht Charter in Anguilla

Anguilla yacht charters offer natural beauty and a more relaxed atmosphere with the Island being a generally less developed Caribbean charter location, and one of the region's best kept secrets. Anguilla is one of the northern most Islands in the Leeward chain of the Caribbean Sea. Located close to the Island of St Martin, and not far from St Barts, Angullia could not be more different than its cosmopolitan and well developed neighbor St Martin. The locals have jealously guarded this pristine paradise from developers and as a result Anguilla is attracting a high end clientele and luxury yachts that appreciate the swanky low rise luxury resorts that Anguilla has an abundance of. With over 80 restaurants, from beachfront seafood shacks to French Haute Cuisine and 30 bleached white squeaky clean beaches, it is little wonder that Anguilla is a must see destination during a luxury yacht charter in the Caribbean. Charterers will delight in spending the day on one of Anguilla’s pristine beaches with a back drop of swaying palm trees before heading to a local bar or back to their luxury yacht for a delicious cocktail. The locals are famously friendly and welcoming and most of the thirteen thousand residents speak English due to the fact that it still considered a British Overseas Territory. Anguillan culture is a mix of West Indian, British and African cultures and as one would expect in the Caribbean, yachting is hugely popular with the locals as well as their visitors. You are quite likely to stumble upon a local sailing regatta at various times throughout the year. Two of Anguilla’s most famous locations and a must see while on your luxury yacht charter are the beaches of Shoal Bay East and Rendezvous Bay. Both are picture perfect beaches and exactly what you imagine when you look at any travel brochure for the Caribbean. The diving around Anguilla is also very good. Its crystal clear waters and good reef formations certainly make it worthwhile. Also in recent years a number of ships have been sunk here to create several new dive sites. The only real town on Anguilla is called The Valley it has a post office, a bank and a handful of shops where tourists can shop for groceries and souvenir items. Being a Caribbean Island Anguilla is just as ideal for sailing yachts as with motor yachts with the lazy and warm trade wind breeze. Anguilla can easily be reached in a seven night itinerary of the Leeward Islands. Your Bareboat, Luxury Catamaran or Luxury Super Yacht will likely pick you up in St Martin before heading to Anguilla for one or two nights after which you will sail off via St Martin to St Bart’s and possibly Saba and Nevis.
