At Boot Düsseldorf 2019 British shipyard Princess Yachts unveiled its latest motor yacht model Princess Y85, measuring 26m/86ft in length and featuring the styling of the Italian studio Pininfarina.

Joining the Y77 and Y89 models in the same class, the Y85 is designed for Owners looking for a modern superyacht providing greater space on board, most notable in the flybridge that offers 40% more room than conventional yachts of the same size.

The deep V-shaped hull in combination with a wave-piercing bow provides smooth cruising even in rough sea conditions and excellent stability.

As guests step aboard via the swim platform there is plenty of space for a beach club beside the water. The main deck cockpit is fully shaded and has a C-shaped sofa and raised dining table for outdoor lounging, meals or entertaining close to the salon.

The foredeck is a wonderful space to spend a lazy afternoon and is furnished with a curving sofa beneath the helm station and a broad sunbed across the bow. In the evening, guests can move to the flybridge for alfresco dining beneath the hardtop with a wet bar adjacent. A sunbed is placed behind, with room along the stern for a tender and Davit crane for easy launch and retrieval.

The bright and clean interiors from Pininfarina can be customised in Rovere oak, Alba oak or walnut with a satin or high-gloss finish. The guest bathrooms also come in a choice of finishes, and options include marble, granite and quartz.

The main salon layout is designed to serve multiple purposes: The C-shaped sofa and coffee table are placed to port with a second sofa opposite, and an elegant circular dining table close to the galley and bar. Another dining nook can be found opposite the helm station, where guests can take in the forward views while socialising or sending time on personal pursuits.

With the tender garage placed on the flybridge aft, the stern of the lower deck is dedicated to the crew accommodation, which is accessed separately to the guest accommodation placed forward of the engine room. The Master suite is placed amidships to take advantage of the full beam, and a large wardrobe, desk, starboard sofa and widescreen TV surround the bed, with an en-suite bathroom behind containing his-and-hers sinks, a toilet and a shower.

Forward, a double cabin is placed to port and a twin cabin convertible to a double is to starboard. The bow hosts the VIP stateroom, and all three cabins have a toilet, sink and shower.

Twin MAN V12-1900 each producing 1,900 MHP engines allow for a top speed of 33 knots.
