Sailing yacht ALCHEMY IV (ex SEDNA, INUKSHUK) is a Nautors Swan 82 S Semi-Raised Saloon of 24.99m (82’) in length which was launched in 2009 with naval architecture German Frers. Nautor Swan produces powerful yet luxurious sailing yachts of superior quality, from both a design and build perspective, and ALCHEMY IV is no exception. With a refit in 2016, this fantastic vessel can accommodate up to eight guests in two double cabins and two twin cabins. ALCHEMY IV offers superb sailing capabilities along with a sea kindly ride. She sails well but also offers the requisite luxuries and comfort.

EXTERIOR

Above deck, the amidships cockpit creates a symmetrical setting by placing a C-shaped sofa on either side and each has an extendable table for drinks. The helm station is placed towards the aft and guests can access the swim platform via the stern. While moored, the foredeck can be used for observation and sunbathing.

INTERIOR

The interior styling provides a modern update to a classic appearance, rounding off the edges of the mid-toned wooden panelling and applying plush white furnishings for an inviting image as comfortable as it looks.

The lower deck contains the guest accommodation and the master suite is placed within the stern, taking advantage of the beam to incorporate a sofa and deck as well as two wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom. Two twin cabins are placed in front of the Master suite and both have their own bathrooms as well as a TV each and skylights for excellent natural lighting while ensuring guest privacy. The crew accommodation is placed forward and sleeps up to three.

Amidships the lounge is a comfortable and intimate offering a C-shaped sofa and raised table for alfresco dining along with a wall-mounted widescreen TV for entertaining during transit. On the starboard side, an L-shaped sofa and a drinks table ensure that there is plenty of seating for up to 10 guests while cruising.

A Cummins 180 HP engine provides a maximum speed of 10.9 knots and a cruising speed of 8.5 knots.

The original name of the yacht refers to the 'inuksuk' which was a man-made stone landmark where there are few natural landmarks. The inuksuk was used by the peoples of the Arctic region of North America, from Alaska to Greenland, for navigation, as a point of reference, a marker for hunting grounds, or as a food cache.
