A General Description of Motor Yacht MONTKAJ
This 78 metre (256 ft) luxury yacht was manufactured by Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) in 1995. Motor Yacht MONTKAJ is a volumous superyacht. The naval architecture office that made this yacht's design in respect of this ship was Amels and Terence Disdale Design. The original interior design work is the brain child of Terence Disdale Design. Luxury yacht MONTKAJ is a handsome yacht that is able to sleep a total of 12 passengers on board and has approximately 22 crew members.
In 1998 she returned to the Amels shipyard for a refit. At this time she was lengthened by 3m on her aft section.

Amels was the naval architect involved in the technical nautical plans for MONTKAJ. Also the company Amels and Terence Disdale Design expertly worked on this venture. Interior designer Terence Disdale Design was employed for the overall internal ambience. the Netherlands is the country that Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) built their new build motor yacht in. After formal launch in 1995 in Makkum she was handed over to the yacht owner following final finishing. A sizeable area is manifested with a total beam (width) of 12.89 metres or 42.3 feet. With a 3.9m (12.8ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly deep. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is built from aluminium. In 2000 further refit work and modernisation was in addition finished.

The 3516 DITA engine installed in the motor yacht is made by CATERPILLAR. MONTKAJ is propelled by twin screw propellers. The engine of the ship generates 2490 horse power (or 1832 kilowatts).
