Anegada Yacht Charter

Here are the BVI charter yachts available to rent so you can visit Anegada, amoungst other Islands.
Anegada is small island in the BVI cluster of islands located in the Caribbean and, as such, it’s an important yacht rental destination. Anegada Island is one of the intriguing British Virgin Islands spots that you should visit if you want to experience a peaceful luxury yacht charter holiday in the Caribbean. It is in close proximity to the other islands, each having its own natural beauty and hence you can customize your yacht charter itinerary according to your preference. The natural attractions will leave you spellbound and you can also visit unique places such as the fishing town where you can get a first-hand experience of how the locals makes their catch of the day.

Today this idyllic island has become a prominent destination for luxury yacht charterers and superyacht guests who have come from nearby islands in the British Virgin Islands group, such as Virgin Gorda. Since Anegada is not densely populated it is preferred by those tourists who want a sense of privacy and a place to get away from it all and relax – and what better way is there to do this than to relax on the ocean on a crewed luxury yacht?

Those that are looking for a welcome break from the hustle and bustle that you see in the prominent islands of the Caribbean such as the Bahamas. The topography of Anegada is relatively flat, however there are deposits of limestone and coral that have been formed since thousands of years. Anegada is charming island full of surprises on the way. Every day it has a new experience to offer to the tourists who have taken the Anegada yacht services.

Superyachts available for charter

The tourists can board the super yachts or the luxury yachts and reach Anegada within 2 hours if they start from Virgin Gorda. Anegada is the only island in BVI that has natural formations of coral and lime stones. These are natural attractions that draw a selected group of tourists who are particularly interested in seeing such type of natural formations. So in their Anegada yacht charter itineraries they can include these natural wonders. However they can also taste the local cuisine in the beachside restaurants. Some of the dishes that you can have include succulent lobster treats and fish. The yacht tourists in Anegada will be spellbound to see the stunning barrier reefs, the various rock iguanas and birdlife such as flamingos. These scenes make for perfect pictures for avid photographers.

The Anegada Barrier Reef

Anegada is known as the drowned island in yachting as it has the highest elevation of just 28 feet above sea level. The natural barrier reef has a total length of 18 miles and it is known as the largest barrier reef in the Caribbean. Hence the barrier reef makes for a unique site while on your Anegada yacht vacation. The shoreline has the finest beaches with white sand. You can relax on the smooth sand and even go for long walks on the beaches. Don’t forget to include viewing the marine ecosystems that constitute an important part of the barrier reef. There are several species that take shelter in the reef. These include lobster, conch, fishes and sea turtles.

Geographical area divided into 5 distinct parts
For easy coverage of the different sections of the island you can divide it into five distinctive parts and visit the ones that interest you. The 5 components include salt ponds, beaches, Anchorage, Settlement and outback. Anchorage is a prominent tourist destination between the Pomato Point and the Setting Point. Anchorage is a must see detestation for the yacht charterers. In Settlement you will find several restaurants and bars. Some of the prominent restaurants include Lobster Trap, Pomato Point and Neptune’s Treasure. You can also visit the finest beach resorts located on the northern side of the Anegada Island. This section has the waters of the Atlantic Ocean lashing on its coastline. There is no problem with regards to onshore accommodation and dining options as there are excellent beach resort and restaurants on the island.
