Anegada is small island in the BVI cluster of islands located in the Caribbean and, as such, it’s an important yacht rental destination. Anegada is the only island in BVI that has natural formations of coral and lime stones. These are natural attractions that draw a selected group of tourists who are particularly interested in seeing such type of natural formations. The Anegada Barrier Reef

Anegada is known as the drowned island in yachting as it has the highest elevation of just 28 feet above sea level. The natural barrier reef has a total length of 18 miles and it is known as the largest barrier reef in the Caribbean. Hence the barrier reef makes for a unique site while on your Anegada yacht vacation. The shoreline has the finest beaches with white sand. You can relax on the smooth sand and even go for long walks on the beaches. Don’t forget to include viewing the marine ecosystems that constitute an important part of the barrier reef. There are several species that take shelter in the reef. These include lobster, conch, fishes and sea turtles.

For easy coverage of the different sections of the island you can divide it into five distinctive parts and visit the ones that interest you. The 5 components include salt ponds, beaches, Anchorage, Settlement and outback. Anchorage is a prominent tourist destination between the Pomato Point and the Setting Point. Anchorage is a must see detestation for the yacht charterers. In Settlement you will find several restaurants and bars. Some of the prominent restaurants include Lobster Trap, Pomato Point and Neptune’s Treasure. You can also visit the finest beach resorts located on the northern side of the Anegada Island. This section has the waters of the Atlantic Ocean lashing on its coastline. There is no problem with regards to onshore accommodation and dining options as there are excellent beach resort and restaurants on the island.
