The classic wooden coastal freighter PACIFIC YELLOWFIN was built in 1943 in Maine with traditional plank on frame construction. The Pacific Yellowfin motor yacht has a fascinating place in marine history including working as a vessel for the US military (reportedly including a role in the Bay of Pigs crisis), in the Amazon, and as a California hydrographic and deep-sea fisheries research vessel.
