EXTERIOR
Laurent Giles designed the unique naval architecture for this yacht which was extensively tank-tested to perfect the performance – Volvo IPS pod propulsion system creates a 23 knot top speed.

The towering 4.7m bow creates huge interior volume and gives her a unique shape which is further styled using silver paintwork and long dark windows cutting across the vessel. Elegant teak decking surrounds steps that cascade down from the aft deck to the beach club which extends with wings at the side and a hydraulic central swim platform. The structure creates 2 wide sun-padded areas, one on each side of the steps.

On the flybridge sun deck there is also spacious sun beds and a generous dining setting which can seat up to 10 guests. Additional dining space is on the main deck aft sheltered under the flybridge overhang.

“You look around the market today and I would say that 95 per cent of yachts from 40 to 140 feet have copied Genie of the Lamp. That kind of layout, that kind of style and deck, it’s clear. I don’t think it’s too much to say that Genie has influenced the last 20 years.” - "Today, everyone has ‘invented’ the vertical bow. We didn’t invent it, it was invented in the 19th century, even before that, but when we introduced it in 2003, everyone was against it. Even the naval architects, they were saying, ‘no, this boat will have big problems’. And now everyone understands that there are a lot of advantages in having a vertical bow. And everyone is claiming they invented it!” - Luca Bassani, founder and president of Wally
