Luxury yacht BLUE OCEAN from Damen Yachts was launched in 2020 and is part of the YS 5009 support vessel series along with sisterships POWERPLAY, AXIS (ex.FAST & FURIOUS), AD-VANTAGE and SHADOW. M/Y BLUE OCEAN measures 55.5m/185ft and is constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and her naval architecture includes the shipyard's patented Sea Axe bow for fast and safe transit even in stormy seas. The accommodation is designed for up to eight guests in three en-suite cabins, while a staff of four and crew of seven will provide excellent support for adventures and scientific expeditions in remote locations.

EXTERIOR

From the swim platform where there is a ladder for easy access in and out of the water, steps lead up to the main deck aft. This area is used for the storage of the motorised water toys and tenders, and there is room for a helipad for bringing on board additional supplies or staff, an A-frame and Davit crane can be installed for the efficient and safe launch of all vehicles.
When completely clear the 9.25m/30ft beam creates a massive 240m²/2,583ft² area for sunbathing, alfresco dining, lounging or hosting a special event with sofas and coffee tables in the space protected from sea spray by a canvas shade.

Above, there is a 50m²/538ft² sundeck aft of the wheelhouse furnished with sofas, armchairs and coffee tables. From here guests have panoramic views of the surroundings while shaded throughout the day by a canvas. The foredeck is accessible around the wheelhouse and provides an excellent viewing platform.

On the lower deck, the layout includes the crew and staff accommodation, with the crew mess and technical spaces. The guest accommodation for eight is placed on the main deck, behind which is a top-of-the-range galley for fine dining onboard and for beach set-ups. Aft of the galley is a spacious 30m²/323ft² salon, from which guests can enjoy 180° views out across the stern.

Quadruple Caterpillar 3512 engines create a top speed of 20 knots, and at an economical 10 knots, she has a range of 5,000 nautical miles.

Yacht Accommodation

The accommodation sleeps a total of 8 guests across three en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite and two further guest cabins that contain Pullman berths. A staff of 4 and crew of 7 are also accommodated on board.
