49m MMM yacht (ex Karima, Maupiti) was built in 1993 by Dutch shipyard Amels. She features a steel and aluminium superstructure and naval architecture by Amels and an exterior designed by the UK studio Terence Disdale Designs. Her classic interior styling is the work of US designer Peter Marino. Triple Caterpillar 3508 engines provide a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The accommodation sleeps 12 guests over 5 cabins, including a beautiful Master suite on its own private deck. The dedicated crew of 14 will ensure a smooth and safe experience for all guests during their time on board.
NOTABLE FEATURES OF MMM: ~Rugged build allows for worldwide exploration ~Helipad ~ Master suite with gym and his and hers bathrooms ~Series of refits keeping her in pristine condition ~Extra large tender storage ~Air conditioning ~Ensuite cabins
The first thing you’ll notice is the large helipad on the main deck aft. This, combined with her rugged build and extra large tender storage space, makes this vessel a perfect expedition craft for avid explorers. Despite this large space dedicated to the helipad, guests don’t have to compromise on outdoors enjoyment areas. There is a large swimming platform on the lower deck aft, providing easy access to the ocean for swimming and water toys. Towering above is the observation deck, which gets all day sun and 360 views.
The exterior has been impeccably well maintained, and throughout various refits has had new or upgraded fittings and paint, resulting in a beautifully presented vessel.
The amidships main salon is the main social hub of the yacht. Forward there is a dining area with large formal dining table. Aft of this is an entertainment area with a raisable TV, accompanied by comfortable couches to relax on and settle in for a movie night. On the starboard side is another seating area, with a variety of chairs and another table with large overhanging lamp – a great spot for fans of board games. Large windows surround the space, brightening the room and providing incredible sea views.
The yacht’s large tender storage capacity allows her to carry an 8.8-metre custom-built aluminium/RIB Mostrino tender powered by a 440hp Yanmar motor with Hamilton Jetdrive on the starboard side. With a 500-mile range and 10 person capacity, this tender is perfect for day explorations.
