De Voogt Naval Architects was the naval architecture company involved in the technical superyacht design work for KATRION II. Her interior design was realised by Michael Mcquiston / Art-Line Interiors. De Voogt Naval Architects is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. In 2003 she was actually launched with accolade in Aalsmeer and post sea trials and final completion was thereafter passed on to the owner. Feadship - De Vries Scheepsbouw Aalsmeer completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. A fairly large feeling is achieved with a widest beam (width) of 8.55 metres / 28 ft. With a 2.86m (9.4ft) draught (maximum depth) she is shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is fashioned with the use of aluminium. In 2008 extra refitting and modernisation was in addition finished.

Installed with two CATERPILLAR diesel engines, KATRION II will attain a top speed of 14 knots. For propulsion KATRION II has twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 3000 miles whilst motoring at her cruising speed of 11 knots. Her total HP is 1240 HP and her total Kilowatts are 912. With respect to the ship’s stabalisers she was supplied with Koopnautic.
