This 47 metre (156 foot) luxury yacht was created by Royal Huisman in 1998. Sailing Yacht HYPERION is a generous superyacht. The naval architecture office responsible for the plans and general arangement with respect to this ship is German Frers and Pieter Beeldsnijder Design. The interior design and styling is the brain child of Pieter Beeldsnijder Design. The Building & Yacht Design relating to Luxury Yacht HYPERION
German Frers was the naval architecture company involved in the professional nautical composition for HYPERION. Also the company German Frers and Pieter Beeldsnijder Design successfully worked on this venture. Interior designer Pieter Beeldsnijder Design was employed for the overall interior styling. the Netherlands is the country that Royal Huisman built their new build sailing yacht in. After formal launch in 1998 in Vollenhove the boat was afterwards handed over to the yacht owner after sea trials. A fairly large proportion is achieved with a total beam (width) of 9.57 m or 31.4 feet. With a 4.79m (15.7ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly deep. The material aluminium was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is created out of aluminium.
Engines & Speed On S/Y HYPERION:
The 12V 2000 M90 engine installed in the sailing yacht is made by MTU. Coupled to the HYPERION engines are a single screw propeller. The main engine of the ship creates 1085 horse power (or 798 kilowatts). She is fitted with 1 engines. The total power for the boat is thus 1085 HP or 798 KW. The bow thrusters are Vosper.
