Luxury yacht AQUA is a hydrogen-electric concept from Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design in collaboration with Lateral Naval Architects and revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show 2019. The striking futuristic yacht features five-decks and measures 112m/367ft. The accommodation sleeps a maximum of 14 guests over 7 en-suite cabins, with an expert crew of 31 on board for efficient operations and stellar service.

NOTABLE FEATURES OF AQUA: ~Striking futuristic design ~Hydrogen-electric propulsion package ~Bow observation room ~Alfresco cinema on the upper deck aft ~Ceiling heights from 2.8-3.8m (9.2-12.5ft) ~Wellness centre with hydro massage room, and yoga and workout space ~Main deck aft swimming pool with waterfall ~Stunning central staircase with skylight ~360 degree observatory in the wheelhouse ~Broad beam of 15.4m/50.5ft ~Air conditioning ~Wi-Fi

One of the most innovative features on board is the hydrogen-electric propulsion package, which uses liquefied hydrogen stored at -253C degrees in two 28 ton vacuum isolated tanks. The hydrogen is converted into electrical energy by proton exchange membrane fuel cells and with a battery bank, it provides enough energy to power the engines, propulsion, auxiliary systems and hotel services. Only water is produced as a by-product.

EXTERIOR

The exterior styling has been described as inspired by 'ocean swells' and features a strong inverse bow and uninterrupted lines with sweep from the foredeck to the stern.
The grand staircase sweeps from the lower deck swim platform up to the main deck aft, where guests and visitors will pass a gentle waterfall that flows from the massive central swimming pool. Custom-made sun loungers are placed on both sides in the sunshine, while the shaded section holds an abundance of seating areas and alfresco dining spaces for hosting large events.

To this end, the upper deck makes use of the full beam and the extensive outdoor area for alfresco dining and effortless outdoor lounging, with a cinema setup for films under the stars, and gel-fuelled fire bowls to further enhance the ambiance.

INTERIOR

The lower deck hosts the crew accommodation, with the magnificent central stairway the centrepiece of the deck. The central staircase that connects all five decks begins in style, offering views through a screen of fortified glass of the liquefied hydrogen stored in two 28-ton vacuum isolated tanks at -253C degrees.

On the main deck the guest accommodation is forward while the aft area hosts a spacious beach club containing a fine dining setting for all 14 guests surrounded by hand-crafted wooden screens. The circular lounge to the aft can be rotated to turn it into a cinema, and this indoor/outdoor area joins seamlessly with the alfresco lounging and dining area for perfect flow.

An Owners' open-plan pavilion on the upper deck forward benefits from full-height windows on both sides of the room in addition to a massive circular skylight, and for privacy there are wooden screens. The room contains an office area, day bed, grand piano, lounger and seating area with colourful pieces of artwork on the walls and sculptures that the centre of the room beneath the skylight. At the most extreme end of the Owners' apartment, there is an 'Aqua room'; an intimate observation room in the bow where a couple of guests are surrounded by glass for panoramic views of the surroundings.

The upper deck aft provides an open setting for lounging and dining surrounded by full-height windows, and sliding shoji grid screens can be employed for a more private setting. When guests want more of an indoor/outdoor experience, the living space joins seamlessly with the outside social area to the stern.
