ZUIDERZEE used to be named Ernst Wilhelm; Hans; Pirat; Klaus Hinrich Karstens; Einigkeit; Genius. The yacht is a classic twin masted schooner. The graceful sailing yacht has been brought about with the naval architecture of J.J. Pattje.

The yacht's wider design collaboration came from JJ Pattje. The professional naval architect firm plans are a work of JJ Pattje. the Netherlands is the country that Jj Pattje completed their new build sailing yacht in. After the official launch in 1909 in Waterhuizen she was then handed over to the owner following final finishing. Her core hull was constructed with steel. The sailing yacht superstructure component is made for the most part with steel. With a width of 6.89 m or 22.6 feet ZUIDERZEE has reasonable interior. A shallow draught of 2.41m (7.9ft) determines the amount of worldwide marinas she can enter into, depending on their individual characteristics. She had refit maintenance and modification carried out by 1991.
