A General Description of Motor Yacht SOLAIA

This motor yacht SOLAIA is a 40 m 131 (ft) ample steel vessel which was manufactured at Hakvoort Shipyard and conceived by Diana Yacht Design. Sleeping 8 passengers and 7 crew members, motor yacht SOLAIA was previously known as Bn230 which was her shipyard project name or actual name. Launched for 2001 this boat’s interior design demonstrates the unique vision emanating from the boards of Felix Buytendijk.

The Construction & Naval Architecture with respect to Luxury Yacht SOLAIA

Diana Yacht Design was the naval architect firm involved in the technical superyacht plans for SOLAIA. Her interior design was conceived by Felix Buytendijk. Diana Yacht Design is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. the Netherlands is the country that Hakvoort Shipyard constructed their new build motor yacht in. After official launch in 2001 in Monnickendam the boat was passed over to the proud new owner after final finishing. The hull was crafted from steel. The motor yacht superstructure component is made largely with aluminium. With a beam of 8.6 m / 28.2 feet SOLAIA has spacious interior. A reasonably shallow draught of 2.5m (8.2ft) selects the number of overall harbours she can berth in, taking into account their specific depth at low tide. She had refit improvement and alteration work carried out by 2009.

Fitted with twin CATERPILLAR diesel main engines, SOLAIA will attain a high speed of 14 knots. Connected to her Caterpillar engine(s) are twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 8400 nautical miles when motoring at her cruise speed of 12 knots. Her total HP is 1460 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1074. Concerning bow thruster maneuverability she was fitted with Jastram. As for the yacht’s stabalisers she was supplied with Koopnautic.
