A General Description of Motor Yacht SCHAARHORN

SCHAARHORN was previously registered as project/yacht name 496. This 38 metre (125 foot) luxury yacht was produced by Janssen & Schmilinsky in 1908. Motor Yacht SCHAARHORN is a well proportioned superyacht. The naval architecture office who actualised the design details for the yacht was Janssen & Schmilinsky.

Janssen & Schmilinsky was the naval architect firm involved in the professional nautical design work for SCHAARHORN. Also the company Janssen & Schmilinsky skillfully worked on this project. Germany is the country that Janssen & Schmilinsky constructed their new build motor yacht in. After the official launch in 1908 in Hamburg she was then delivered on to the proud new owner following sea trials and testing. A reasonable feeling is brought about with a widest beam (width) of 7.16 metres or 23.5 feet. With a 2.59m (8.5ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably shallow. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is built out of steelandwood. In 1994 further refit work and modernisation was also finished.
