This motor yacht ILONA IV is a 74 metre 242 (ft) significant steel boat which was by Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) and conceived in the office of Amels and Redman Whiteley Dixon. The firm of naval architecture responsible for her design work for this ship is Amels and Redman Whiteley Dixon. The interior design is created by Redman Whiteley Dixon.

Stunning Motor Yacht ILONA IV is the forth ILONA built and launched for the same owner. ILONA IV is the largest of the four yachts and was the inspiration of Amels shipyard , Redman Whitely Dixon and the owner personally. One of the largest challenges the design team faced was incorporating a helipad and hangar into the vessel without compromising her structure, lines or functionality and this was achieved through clever design and creativity. ILONA IV has the full retractable system installed which allows a helicopter to be stowed in its own fireproof hangar below deck. ILONA IV is an exceptionally well balanced yacht and combines excellent sea going capabilities with the latest in modern technology and design. In addition to expected features including a cinema, a massage room and a gymnasium, ILONA IV offers accommodation for 16 guests in 6 cabins and a crew of 28 crew. ILONA IV has been awarded as the ‘Most Innovative Motor Yacht’ and ‘The Best Motoryacht Over 43 Meters’.

Amels was the naval architect firm involved in the formal vessel composition for ILONA IV. Her interior design was completed by Redman Whiteley Dixon. Amels and Redman Whiteley Dixon is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. the Netherlands is the country that Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) built their new build motor yacht in. After the formal launch in 2003 in Makkum she was thereafter delivered on to the yacht owner after sea trials and testing.
