A Summary of Sailing Yacht ZEFIRO

The well proportioned superyacht ZEFIRO is a sailing yacht. This 30 m (100 foot) luxury yacht was constructed at Southern Wind Shipyard in 2009. ZEFIRO was previously called (Sw 100 Ds). This private superyacht has been envisaged with naval architects Farr Yacht Design. Nauta Yachts acted on the interior design and styling.

Sailing yacht ZEFIRO was launched in July 2009 and was the tenth unit of the SW100DS and the second 100 DS launched for 2009. The yacht before her was the "I - SEA". Other 100DS in the fleet include FAREWELL, ILLUSION OF ISLES, FAR AND WIDE, FADO, RAPTURE and ACACIA FOUR. ZEFIRO is the Italian version of Zephyrus who is the Greek god of the west wind. The gentlest of the winds, Zephyrus is known as the fructifying wind, the messenger of spring.

The Build & Design with respect to Luxury Yacht ZEFIRO

The yacht's wider design collaboration came from Farr Yacht Design. The formal naval architecture plans are the products of Farr Yacht Design. Sailing Yacht ZEFIRO received her stylish interior designing from the interior design skills of Nauta Yachts. Built at Southern Wind Shipyard the yacht was completed within South Africa. She was successfully launched in Cape Town in 2009 before being handed over to the owner. The core hull was crafted from kevlar composite. The sailing yacht main superstructure is fabricated largely with kevlar composite. With a width of 6.7 m or 21.98 feet ZEFIRO has moderate room. A deep draught of 3.6m (11.81ft) limits the number of overall harbours she can berth in, contingent on their particular characteristics.
