From the Cheoy Lee Shipyards ship building company in Hong Kong the SUMMERWIND is 44 metre 145 (foot) in length. Ready for launch in the year of 1996 her interior design promulgates the stately ambience emanating from the boards of Gloria Lo. Superyacht SUMMERWIND can accommodate up to 12 guests with 11 crew members. The old, former or build project names were Seashaw. She can reach a high speed of 20 knots.
The New Build & Naval Architecture of Luxury Yacht SUMMERWIND
Frank Mulder was the naval architecture company involved in the professional superyacht plans for SUMMERWIND. Also the company Frank Mulder successfully worked on this undertaking. Interior designer Gloria Lo was charged with the internal internal styling. Hong Kong is the country that Cheoy Lee Shipyards built their new build motor yacht in. After the formal launch in 1996 in Hong Kong the boat was thereafter delivered on to the proud new owner following final finishing. Her hull was crafted from composite. The motor yacht superstructure is made predominantly using composite. With a width of 8.78 metres / 28.8 ft SUMMERWIND has fairly large interior. She has a fairly shallow draught of 1.74m (5.7ft). The 12V 396 TE84 engine installed in the motor yacht is built by MTU. Coupled to the SUMMERWIND engines are twin screw propellers. The engine of the yacht generates 1950 horse power (or 1435 kilowatts). She is fitted with 2 engines. The total thrust for the yacht is accordingly 3900 HP / 2870 KW. As far as stabalisers are concerned she utilises Naiad. The bow thrusters are Hps.
