A General Description of Motor Yacht MIRAGE
This motor yacht MIRAGE is a 40 metre 132 (foot) generous aluminium ship which was made by Heesen Yachts and devised from the design board of Frank Mulder and Gerhard Gilgenast. Accommodating 10 passengers and 6 qualified crew, motor yacht MIRAGE is ex 8240; El Corsario. The naval architecture office which delivered her design work in respect of this ship is Frank Mulder and Gerhard Gilgenast. The interior styling is the work of Art-Line Interiors.
Construction & Designing relating to Luxury Yacht MIRAGE
Frank Mulder was the naval architect firm involved in the formal vessel plans for MIRAGE. Her interior design was completed by Art-Line Interiors. Frank Mulder and Gerhard Gilgenast is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this boat. the Netherlands is the country that Heesen Yachts completed their new build motor yacht in. After her formal launch in 1991 in Oss the boat was afterwards handed over to the happy owner having completed final finishing. A spacious area is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 8.17 m / 26.8 ft. With a 1.68m (5.5ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably shallow. The material aluminium was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is built from aluminium. In 1999 further refitting and modernisation was in addition performed.

Fitted with three MTU diesel engines, MIRAGE is able to reach a high speed of 48 knots. Her propulsion units are tripple water jets (kamewa). She also has an efficient range of 2800 miles whilst underway at her cruising speed of 38 knots. Her total HP is 10440 HP and her total Kilowatts are 7682. With respect to bow thrusters she uses Dahne. With respect to the ship’s stabalisers she was built with Vosper.
