The motor yacht LARA is a 38 metre 125 (foot) well proportioned composite vessel which was made at Delta Marine Industries and her design plans were devised by Delta Design Group and John Schubert. A good sized converted private yacht LARA is a particularily well designed United States made yacht which was launched to much satisfaction in 1991. Sleeping 12 guests and 5 crew, motor yacht LARA was previously called 105002 Taurus; Centurion. She is a modern converted private yacht. This gracious superyacht was brought about from a naval architect called Delta Design Group and John Schubert. Delta Design Group produced the interior design and styling.

Delta Design Group was the naval architecture company involved in the formal superyacht plans for LARA. Her interior design was realised by Delta Design Group. Delta Design Group and John Schubert is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. Created by Delta Marine Industries the vessel was fabricated in the recognised yachting country the United States. She was officially launched in Seattle Wa in 1991 before being handed over to the owner. A fairly large area is achieved with a widest beam (width) of 8.53 metres / 28 feet. With a 3.05m (10ft) draught (maximum depth) she is deep. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is created from composite. In 2004 further refitting and modernisation was in addition finished.

Powered by two CATERPILLAR diesel engines, LARA is able to attain a high speed of 14 knots. For propulsion LARA has twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 7000 nautical miles when sailing at her cruising speed of 12 knots. Her total HP is 2140 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1575. Concerning thrusters she uses Schottel. As for the yacht’s stabalisers she was supplied with Naiad.
