Amels was the naval architecture company involved in the formal vessel plans for LA MASQUERADE. Her interior design was completed by Terence Disdale Design. In 2003 she was formally launched to triumph in Makkum and post sea trials and final completion was thereafter passed on to the yacht owner. Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. Her hull was crafted from steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is made predominantly using aluminium. With a beam of 9.6 metres or 31.5 feet LA MASQUERADE has fairly large interior. A deep draught of 3.1m (10.17ft) selects the amount of harbours she can visit, contingent on their particular depth at low tide.

Installed with twin CATERPILLAR diesel engines, LA MASQUERADE is able to reach a high speed of 15 knots. Her propulsion units are twin screw propellers. She also has an economical range of 5000 miles when sailing at her cruising speed of 12 knots. Her total HP is 3500 HP and her total Kilowatts are 2575.
