Ranui is a New Zealand & South Pacific based classic crewed yacht. An expedition aboard the Ranui combines unparalleled service and comfort, with a unique opportunity to sail the seas aboard one of New Zealand's maritime treasures.

The Ranui's stately kauri and totara (native New Zealand timbers) exterior hint at the understated elegance within. Her spacious handrubbed teak and kauri interior is superbly appointed and fully air-conditioned. The Milford Saloon provides ample room for internal relaxation and is equipped to cater for sizable gatherings of either a personal or business nature. The dining table seats up to ten, while an extensive bar ensures that every taste is catered to. In addition the Saloon boosts a state of the art entertainment center, including television and video facilities and a Pioneer multi-CD player and stereo. Our extensive onboard video and music library provides something for every taste and includes a selection of New Zealand greats. The Ranui also provides full computer with full Internet access.

Our onboard chef will create gourmet meals with a distinctly New Zealand flavour, taking advantage of the exceptional local produce and abundant seafood. Meals may be tailored to suit individual tastes. The Ranui also boosts an outstanding selection of award winning New Zealand wines which will be specially selected to compliment your menu. Meals can be served either in the Saloon, or outdoors on the magnificent upper deck.

Captains Profile: Richard Allen, former fisherman and now qualified lawyer, has been sailing competitively since the age of five. His success in competition and extensive sailing knowledge won him a coveted place on the 1996 New Zealand Olympic team. He traveled with the team to Savanna, Georgia, as both a reserve and an Olympic Committee media advisor for the Tornado class. When Richard purchased the Ranui he saw the perfect opportunity to fulfill a long held dream—to make the adventurous world of Pacific sailing and the many hidden wonders of New Zealand's natural coastline accessible to those with the desire to explore. Richard holds both his captains ticket and engineers ticket.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

'Ranui' the New Zealand & South Pacific based classic motorsailor offers accommodation for up to twelve. The Aramoana and Kupe suites are a statement in elegance and simplicity, and are fitted with a queen size and double bed respectively. In addition there are two generous double bunk cabins, Waka and Maui. Each cabin has full ensuite bathroom facilities and provides ample wardrobe and drawer space. Another of the Ranui's unique features is the Paikea Cabin which offers the opportunity for families to experience the wonders of a sailing holiday together by providing spacious accommodation for up to four guests.
