AURORA was once called the project or yacht name Lou Ann; Francis Todd. She is a classic twin masted schooner. The naval architecture office who actualised her design work on this ship was Leroy Wallace.

The yacht's general design work came from Leroy Wallace. The technical naval architect firm plans are the creation of Leroy Wallace. In 1947 she was formally launched to triumph in Thomaston Me and post sea trials and final completion was then handed over to the owner. Newbert & Wallace completed their new build sailing yacht in the United States. Her main hull was crafted from wooden. The sailing yacht superstructure is made largely with wood.
