Ron Holland Design was the naval architect firm involved in the professional superyacht design work for GARUDA. Her interior design was completed by Bannenberg Designs Ltd. Ron Holland Design and Bannenberg Designs Ltd is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. Created at Oy Nautor Ab (Nautors Swan) the vessel was fabricated in the recognised yachting country Finland. She was successfully launched in Pietersaari in 1986 before being handed over to the owner. A moderate proportion is manifested with a widest beam (width) of 7.35 metres / 24.1 feet. With a 3.32m (10.9ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly deep. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is built with the use of composite. In 2009 further refit work and modernisation was additionally finished.
