Born and raised in Florida, Joanna’s passion for the water thrives both above and below the waterline. Growing up in West Palm Beach, she enjoyed surfing along Florida’s East coast, and bluewater sailing with her father, who she credits most of her affinity towards yachting and cruising began.

For the last 4 years, Joanna was employed on various vessels that chartered in the Bahamas, the Exumas, the USVI’s and the Mediterranean. Prior to her career in yachting, she worked extensively in Advertising in New York City on several high profile International Brands. Her mix of Marketing knowledge, firsthand crew experience and absolute passion for chartering brings her to Charterworld, where she is working as Yacht Charter Assistant to LJ Houghting…on a fast-track to becoming a Charter Manager. She‘s got a keen eye for detail and an “always on” ROI switch. She enjoys traveling and photography, and has high hopes of gathering many more stamps in her passport. She believes the more people travel and truly immerse themselves in other cultures, the more humanity can grow.

She currently lives in Fort Lauderdale with her partner, Mike Ferguson, and their young terror-saurus, a.k.a. “Jack”.
