Performance sailing yacht GENIE is a 23.50m (77' 1") yacht built by the famous Wally Yachts in 1995 that was last refitted in 2015. Sailing yacht GENIE is one of the first and finest WALLY design with pure German Frers lines.

An exceptional and relentless sailing yacht, the Wally 77 GENIE was the first cruising yacht to be handled by one person only thanks to the features developed by the Wally R&D to make cruising sail yachts more comfortable, faster, safer, and easier-to-handle with a small number of crew.

The construction system of the Wally 77 is based upon raceboat technology. The resulting structure is light, durable and strong. The swept back spreader, wide-shroud base, carbon fibre mast will be capable of taking the sailing loads without runners. The deck layout of sailing yacht GENIE reflects the concept of simplicity and efficiency that runs throughout the Wally 77 design.

“You look around the market today and I would say that 95 per cent of yachts from 40 to 140 feet have copied Genie of the Lamp. That kind of layout, that kind of style and deck, it’s clear. I don’t think it’s too much to say that Genie has influenced the last 20 years.” - "Today, everyone has ‘invented’ the vertical bow. We didn’t invent it, it was invented in the 19th century, even before that, but when we introduced it in 2003, everyone was against it. Even the naval architects, they were saying, ‘no, this boat will have big problems’. And now everyone understands that there are a lot of advantages in having a vertical bow. And everyone is claiming they invented it!” - Luca Bassani, founder and president of Wally
