Castelvecchio di Monte Porzio (PU) – After the great success obtained in April during the world preview held in Rapallo (Italy) and the very recent award as “Best Nautical Project of the Year” received in occasion of  Internautica Boat Show in Portoroz (Slovenia), Wider, the new yachting company established in 2010 by Tilli Antonelli, will be present at the 69th Grand Prix of Monaco, starting today with the first session of free practice.

Thanks to the significant collaboration of Monaco Boat Service, Wider 42’, the first model of the range which conceives the wider cockpit  unique concept, will be anchored at the Port Hercule where Formula 1 enthusiasts and the Monaco public will be able to admire and visit the yacht in the wonderful contest of the Monaco circuit, until Tuesday May the 31st.

“A natural empathy links Wider to the Formula 1 – says Tilli Antonelli, Wider President – starting with the multifunctional steering wheel with in-built multiview display featuring all the information necessary for sailing, similar to those used in Formula 1, to the great attention paid to performances, in terms of choice of materials and cutting edge technology, which translates also in a maximum speed of 53 knots and a cruising speed of 40 knots.

Wider 42’ is a versatile open day-cruiser able to change and adapt to satisfy a wide range of demands, through solutions offering total comfort and pure relaxation.

Wider 42’ stands out for the special feature of widening her volumes: in fact, by means of an automatic and patented system, she widens out in just 12 seconds thanks to mobile extensions either side of the hull. Wider has thus managed to double the usable surface and significantly increase the yacht’s stability and comfort.

Designed in order to ensure total comfort, Wider 42’ is outfitted by cutting edge and technological equipment, for a equal amounts of adrenaline and recreation:  from the helm station with a multifunctional steering wheel to the audio-video system, from the living area fitted with removable leather hang bags, which replace the classical cabinets, to the central cockpit where inflatable seats substitute heavy fibreglass furniture.

Special attention has been paid to the choice of the materials, using carbon fibre in many elements of the boat, and to the energy saving concept, concentrating on the engines and aerodynamic shapes – like the stepped hull – which guarantee huge savings in fuel consumption and a lower environmental impact. The result is a high-performance model, an aerodynamic product, where weight is an essential feature, guaranteeing maximum efficiency and minimum waste.

In order to guarantee maximum versatility of use, the owner of Wider 42’ can chose between two different configurations of the stern: in the first case, the boat houses a 3,4 m jet ski; alternatively, a hangar containing a rubber dinghy 2,7 m long and extra storage for a scuba diving equipment is also available. In this case the aft sun pad is offered on top of the garage. It is possible to order both the equipments as they are interchangeable.

“The Monaco Grand Prix is a perfect scenario and we are happy to present the Wider 42’ in this contest  – says Tilli Antonelli –  We believe that the innovative features and potentiality of this very unique yacht will be able to capture the interest of Formula 1 lovers.”

After the Monaco’s pit stop, Wider will continue the exhibition tour to the international public during the summer till the French première at the “Festival de la Plaisance” in Cannes and the Genoa and Fort Lauderdale boat shows appointments. Wider, never enough!
