The 13th edition of the Camper & Nicholsons Trophée Bailli de Suffren kicked off from the fantastic St Tropez yacht charter destination, nestled in the South of France, on Saturday, June 28, 2014. This year, the winner of one of the most beautiful Mediterranean yacht races has become the 1938 sailing yacht Amadour. Below is a video showing the start of the race from St Tropez, released by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas.

The race start on Saturday, June 28, saw sparkling Tropezian sunshine, with a light southerly breeze that faded to almost nothing during the first night at sea. But 24 hours later, as the yachts neared the end of the 193 mile leg, they met very different conditions. A mistral had been forecast and by late on Sunday evening the wind was 25 to 30 knots from the north west, increasing to severe gale force in the early hours of Monday morning.
