Turkish superyacht builder Vicem Yachts, a leader in innovative and prestigious open and megayachts, continues its march towards excellence concentrating all production in their Antalya facilities on the Turkish south-east Mediterranean coast. This move is part of the new Vicem Yachts three year industrial plan started at the end of 2009.

Vicems’ launch of the Vulcan Line and more recently of the Vanguard Line, thier third line of Open motor yachts characterizes the fundamental stages of the plan. Together with the Vintage Line, which is the yard’s core business all three Lines will be built in Vicem’s two Antalya facilities with a total of 30,000 m² of production area.

In this time of difficulty for the international nautical sector, Vicem is concentrating its production in Antalya for many reasons including the constant search for increasing overall production efficiency, the excellent quality/cost ratio of local labour, a favourable fiscal environment, direct access to the sea and the logistic advantage of having entire production ‘under one roof’.

Vicem Yachts is currently building the first Vulcan 46 motor yacht at the shipyard’s facilities in Antalya, Turkey. ‘We are extremely pleased to have been able to team up with one of the best brokerage companies in the yachting industry. Partnering with Fraser Yachts is further confirmation of Vicem Yacht’s pursuit of excellence and its ability to meet the demanding operational and product standards of partners like Fraser,’ said Sebahattin Hafizoglu, Chairman and Founder of Vicem Yacht.

With the Vulcan 46 metre superyacht, Vicem decided to enter into the composite mega-yacht segment without making compromises. With the assistance of outstanding design firms such as Frank Mulder for exterior and naval architecture, and Art Line for the interiors, Vicem set out to build a 46 meter semi-displacement yacht which is lighter and faster than the industry standard, achieving 25 knots as top speed, while maintaining high-efficiency cruising and long range capability of 4,000 Nm @ 12 knots, thus creating an extremely versatile ship.

Art Line Studio designed the Vulcan 46m interior, bringing a new definition to the word luxury. A 460 ton yacht, powered by twin 3,650 HP MTU engines, delivers efficient ocean-crossing range at reduced speed. Her three decks plus Sundeck design provides outstanding elegance for the knowledgeable owner, and six cabins of thrilled guests. Its impeccable construction and craftsmanship, thanks to Vicem’s internal team of specialized craftsmen and the RINA/MCA Long Range classifications, make this mega yacht a very serious contender in today’s mega-yacht arena.
