Update: 54m Benetti superyacht damaged in fire

Benetti Shipyard in Livorno has released an official statement related to the fire aboard a 54 m luxury superyacht nearing her completion.

Benetti shipyard informs that this morning, at around 7am at the Morosini wharf, located inside the yard in Via Edda Fagni in Livorno, a Benetti yacht of 54 metres, in the last stages of construction, caught fire for reasons yet unknown.

The internal security teams immediately attended the scene and, after having assessed the situation, have activated the Fire Department of the city of Livorno.

The fire is currently under control and in the phase of being completely extinguished.

There are no injuries reported.
