Caribbean

St Martin and Antigua and Barbuda has been named as TripAdvisor’s  Top 10 Destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico for 2010. The Traveler’s Choice 8th annual competition is the largest ever with over 35 million real and unbiased reviews and opinions from travelers. This makes it unlike any other honors award in the world.

St Martin

St Martin/Saint Maarten, is renowned for its combination of Caribbean, French and Dutch cultures, and picks up the award for Top 10 Best Destination Award 2010.  White sand beaches, stunning landscapes and wildlife, combined with fun cafes and beach-side dining makes for a great motor yacht and sailing yacht charter destination.

The St Maarten or St Martin (as the French spell it) yacht charter area can only be described as a tropical paradise. With a unique blend of European sophistication and Caribbean hospitality, St Martin is an intriguing Caribbean delight. St Martin is the smallest landmass ever to be divided between two nations. The French and the Dutch can lay equal claim to these majestic green peaks, stunning sandy beaches and sparkling waters. The two cultures exist in perfect serenity, whilst maintaining the individuality of their homeland, giving St Maarten a charm of its own. St Maarten is a perfect starting point for a yacht charter vacation.

Anguilla

The most Romantic Destination Award in the Caribbean is awarded to the island of Anguilla, which is a half day sail from St Martin.  Anguilla offers pristine beaches, celebrities and a laid back atmosphere. Anguilla is the ideal island to enjoy a BBQ under the stars at anchor on a charter yacht.

Anguilla yacht charters offer natural beauty and a more relaxed atmosphere with the Island being a generally less developed Caribbean charter location, and one of the region’s best kept secrets. Anguilla is one of the northern most Islands in the Leeward chain of the Caribbean Sea. Located close to the Island of St Martin, and not far from St Barts, Angullia could not be more different than its cosmopolitan and well developed neighbor St Martin. The locals have jealously guarded this pristine paradise from developers and as a result Anguilla is attracting a high end clientele and luxury yachts that appreciate the swanky low rise luxury resorts that Anguilla has an abundance of.

Charterers will delight in spending the day on one of Anguilla’s pristine beaches with a back drop of swaying palm trees before heading to a local bar or back to their luxury yacht for a delicious cocktail.

The twin islands of Antigua and Barbuda receive the Travelers Choice award for Top 10 Beach and Sun Destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico.  365 stunning white sand beaches, uncrowded anchorages and pretty bays; that’s why sailors flock to these historical, sun-soaked Caribbean islands.
