UKSA, is offering four young people the chance of a lifetime to gain a place on the Trinity House Yachting Cadetship. Starting this autumn, successful applicants will not only have their full course fees paid, but will also receive a maintenance grant to help fund them through their studies over the three years of the programme.

The Trinity House Yachting Cadetship is a three year programme which includes a Foundation Degree in Operational Yacht Science and is designed for anyone with a passion for working on board superyachts. Developed with the MCA and their approved training guidelines, the Cadetship provides students training coupled with valuable paid work placements working on superyachts all over the world.

Jon Ely, Chief Executive at UKSA, commented: “The Trinity House Yachting Cadetship offers students a unique opportunity to study to the very highest level whilst gaining qualifications and invaluable work experience – and all fully funded by Trinity House. We are proud to be able to offer such exciting opportunities to the successful applicants, and look forward to working closely with them to help them achieve their career goals.”

In order to be successful, candidates must be aged between 18 and 25 and possess GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science, passed with grades A-C, as well as A or AS level qualifications equivalent to 120 UCAS points – or equivalent worked based learning for those over 21.
If you think you fit the bill and would like to apply for a fully funded 3 year programme, please get in touch with UKSA and ask for an application form. Applications must be received before the 30th June 2010.
