A superyacht charter is the ultimate, luxurious holiday experience. Not only are you able to enjoy an exceptional level of freedom and privacy on the water, there’s always plenty to keep you occupied too. From exciting water sport activities to onboard gourmet dining on deck, exploring remote hidden islands to visiting some of the world’s prestigious ports. A superyacht charter vacation offers unsurpassed indulgence and a tailored itinerary, unlike any other type of holiday. When it comes to chartering a superyacht, here are the coolest top seven charter in 2017:

1. ST DAVID by Benetti

This 60-metre streamlined Benetti is fully fitted with the latest gizmos for its twelve guests. There’s an awesome gym on one of the three sundecks alongside a Jacuzzi, bar and Teppanyaki grill (for fresh Japanese-style snacks). St David also has the hippiest party equipment on the seas from kaleidoscopic cinema screens, portable Karaoke machines, a disco and a bandstand on the sundeck. For water toys there are wave runners, a hovercraft, water skis and wake boards.

2. SHERAKHAN by Vuyk

From the outside this superyacht appears to be a classic beauty with its smart blue hull and sleek teak decking. The vast interior is seriously swanky and designed for 21st century partying. Light floods into the double-height, marble-floored, dining room (seating 24) all the way through to the glass-floored Jacuzzi on the deck above. There’s a spa, gym, library as well as a glamorous staircase to swish down in evening dress. The Sherakhan boasts nine suites with double-sized baths. Water toys – try the laser sailing-boat and eight-metre tenders to a floating trampoline. Onboard experience the professional service of eighteen staff.

3. REVELRY by Hakvoort

The Reverly (ex. Snowbird, Pretty Woman) was named one of the top three superyachts out of 85 vessels at the world-famous Charter Show in Geneva. It’s a spectacular, luxury, ocean-going superyacht with a steel hull and aluminium alloy superstructure. This makes the Snowbird perfect for chartering. There is fabulous accommodation for up to ten guests with a full-beam owner’s suite that includes a State Room with a king-size bed, a large walk-in wardrobe plus a study. There are four guest cabins on the lower deck, two double VIP cabins along with two twin-bed guest rooms, all with en suite bathrooms. There’s plenty of sundeck space for sunbathing, a large whirlpool bath tub for chilling out and a BBQ grill.

4. TALITHA G  by Krupp and Devonport

Owned by the Getty family, the Talitha G is still used for their vacations. It’s one of the most old-fashioned glamour puss superyachts at sea. Talitha G has an interesting history, during the Second World War she sailed out of Pearl Harbor with six anti-aircraft guns and 110 US Navy personnel onboard. There’s no sign of that today. Day time activities can include wooden Hacker tenders to play on along with jet skis, kite surfers, donuts, diving gear and more. There are more than 200,000 CDs to choose from and 1,000 movies to watch on the outdoor plasma cinema screens.

5. SENSES by Kusch Yachts

Ideal for adventurous families, the Senses is super-sturdy, perfect for exploring and for taking to the high seas. Its spacious, airy interiors and scatterings of antiques mixed with Philippe Starck pieces, modern art and ethnic carpets, give it the wow factor. There’s also a good amount of unrivalled water sport toys such as wave-runners, diving equipment, kayaks, tenders and inflatables. The helipad – just what’s needed for quick getaways.

6. Silver Fast by Hanseatic Marine

The long and slimline 253-foot Silver yacht SILVER FAST distinguished itself recently as the finest new yacht at the Monaco’s Boat Show Awards on opening night. The vessel sports a superior exterior by Espen Oino and a contemporary interior by Vain Interiors of Germany. Three VIP suites are situated on the main deck while three other State Rooms are on the deck below. There’s a sizeable cockpit at the stern with a dining table for 20 guests making it an excellent gathering place. In the Beach Club below, guests can enjoy a beauty salon, massage room, sauna, a full gymnasium and showers.

7. IL SOLE by Benetti

OK, at only 44 metres, Il Sole (ex. Candyscape) isn’t the biggest of superyachts. What does mark it out however are the small details which are certainly impressive. There are neutral interiors designed by London owners Candy & Candy, 600-threadcount sheets custom-made in Italy as well as crew uniforms designed by Stella McCartney’s husband Alasdhair Willis. Wallpaper featuring Louis Vuitton monogrammed leather suitcases, a dining table that becomes a roulette table and a master State Room with black Baccarat sconces including a grand black marble bathroom gives the Candyscape everything fashionistas love.
