Motor Yacht Navetta 33 Crescendo is the result of the close cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project and the AYTD – Advanced Yacht Technology & Design, the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre. Its classical outer lines harmoniously blend with the contemporary design of the interiors, which can be fully customised to the Owner’s taste. Indeed, just like on the entire Ferretti Custom Line range, every non-structural detail, such as furniture and furnishings, fabrics, and décor, can be modified to meet the requirements of the Owner who, supported by Gruppo Ferretti’s architects and designers, can choose from among the best Italian and international companies to create a truly “tailor-made” yacht. Plenty of natural light brightens the spacious interiors filtering through the large glazing which makes the yacht’s profile truly unmistakable and reflects this model’s strong personality:  Navetta 33 Crescendo yacht stands out in its segment for its 3 full decks perfectly integrated into the line of the yacht, for an innovative new feature – a large sundeck -, as well as for a series of design solutions aiming to let its guests really enjoy the emotion of direct contact with the sea.

On the main deck, the large salon features a system of sliding glazed doors on the starboard broadside, with a collapsible gunwale which minimises any existing visual and physical barriers between the yacht and the sea.

The full-beam Owner suite is located at bow, in a privileged position. Onboard guest-and-crew circulation routes have been skilfully separated by making the crew area directly accessible from the galley. The crew area is completely separated from the guest cabins located on the lower deck, which are all fitted with large open view windows that characterise the profile of the hull also from the outside.

Also deserving mention are the extraordinary innovations found in the upper part of the yacht, from the dining area on the upper deck – which features an original system of circular sliding doors resulting in a very flexible layout and interior space division – to the restyled sundeck.

MAIN DECK

From the large cockpit, furnished with two facing Flow sofas by Manutti and two telescopic coffee tables that can also be used as dining tables, access is gained to the salon on the main deck, characterised by central walls and furniture in American oak wood and Stile white/grey parquet floorings.

The salon features a large conversation area, on the left, furnished with a custom-made sofa designed to the Owner’s taste and featuring a series of oak wood shelves integrated in the armrest and a Poltrona Frau Ninfea model coffee table in leather, oak wood and dark lacquered wood. To the right is an original bar corner, featuring a unit with a sliding wooden surface which hides a Corian sink. The TV screen standing on the unit is surrounded by a cream shade leather frame and can slide forward revealing a fully-equipped bar area. Further on, to starboard, are the sliding glazed doors leading to the broadside with collapsible gunwale. The glass partition is covered by an American style curtain. To the left, besides the conversation area, stands a large Riva 1920 oval table that can seat up to 8 people, with Maggy chairs by BPA International.

Amidships, on the right, a stairway connects the upper and the lower decks, while on the left access can be gained to the galley with dinette, by Arclinea, which can also be reached through a door on the left broadside and from the crew area, at the extreme bow of the  lower deck.

The Owner area is located forward, a location ensuring the utmost privacy. This spacious area is brightened by plenty of natural light which filters through the wide side glazing and is characterised by the kaki shade of leather and of the headboard and the cream shade of the walls, with the storage compartment for the curtains. This area is divided into a working zone furnished with a writing desk with an Asterix model cream-shade leather armchair by Poltrona Frau and a large walk-in wardrobe located to starboard. A second working zone has been obtained along the left broadside, and features a small vanity set and a cream leather seat.

The spacious bathroom is dominated by two types of marble which alternate in the shower walls, just like in all other heads on this Navetta, as well as by lacquered surfaces. The large custom-made shower box has been fitted, upon request by the Owner, with two shower heads and two benches, and features Grohe taps and Gedy accessories, both belonging to the Veris line.

Another distinctive element shared by all heads on this Navetta are the Corian washbasins which differ from previous models for their curved lines – a small but significant detail that highlights Ferretti Custom Line’s will to offer the utmost onboard safety and comfort by paying attention to the very tiniest details.

LOWER DECK

Going below deck via the stairway located amidships, guests can reach the lower deck lobby, featuring chamois shade leather floorings. From there, access is gained to the 3 guest cabins and the gym. The latter is located to port, towards the bow, and is equipped with Technogym equipment. A glass door separates it from the Turkish bath, where marble walls alternate with mosaic walls, ceilings and benches. Astern are the other two mirroring guest cabins, both furnished with a double bed, which, in the one on the left, as requested by the Owner, can be split into two twin beds. All three cabins enjoy a wonderful view on the sea thanks to large open-view windows and are fitted with ensuite bathroom with separate shower and a walk-in wardrobe.

At the bow are the crew quarters, completely separated from the guest area. The laundry area can be found on the left and a hostess cabin on the right. Further on, there are two twin cabins with bunk beds and head. The Captain’s cabin, featuring a private head and shower, is located at the extreme bow in a slightly raised position.

UPPER DECK

The superstructures of the luxury yacht Navetta 33 Crescendo have been completely refurbished and unmistakably reflect the painstaking care devoted to onboard liveability and to achieving innovative design solutions, offering the Owners and their guests a new relationship with the sea, from a truly privileged position.

The upper deck can be accessed from both the stairway found in the salon and the one in the main deck cockpit. It is divided into the helm station, the living and dining areas, and an open-air section. The spacious helm station is furnished with two pilot seats, a charting area, and a small sofa; a door separates it from the guest area. Upon request by the Owner, a micro-lift has been installed allowing to serve meals in this area by lifting the dishes directly from the galley. The pilot area has been completed with two outdoor steering stations on both sides, making manoeuvres even smoother.

The living area is extremely bright thanks to the continuous glazing and is furnished with a custom-made sofa in American fabric, an Axis coffee table by Matteo Grassi in clay-shade leather, and a small Gaggenau cellar unit.

The great innovation on this yacht, however, is the dining area, which features a system of 4 curved sliding doors from bow to stern making it possible to create different layouts in this area. Inside this original, circular, highly versatile lunch area – which can be connected to or separated from the living and outdoor areas or even connected to both to create one single, charming open space – there is a large round, custom-made table which can seat up to 8 people and can be extended depending on the number of guests. Featuring a teak top and a base lined in leather, this table has been matched with cream-shade leather Skip chairs by Bonaldo, some with armrests, some without.

From the dining room it is possible to reach the outdoor area, furnished with a Flow model sofa in fabric by Manutti and equipped with a steel and glass lobster tank for storing freshly caught fish. This area can also be customised with freestanding furnishings, depending on the Owner’s taste. Further astern there is room for the tender, complete with a davit.

SUNDECK AND BOW

The sundeck, which can be reached by means of a stairway located on the left towards the stern on the upper deck, has been conceived to offer guests a “private” sunbathing area. A large circular Jacuzzi tub is located in the middle, while a bar unit, an icemaker, a fridge, and a grill have been fitted in a unit underneath the mast, just like the shower. A large sundeck is located forward, whilst astern the area used for sunbathing is furnished with 3 Ego Paris, Kube Collection sun loungers that can be converted into armchairs, fitted with white cushions and armrests that can also be used as practical tables. This area, which can be furnished according to the Owner’s tastes, can become another storage for water toys.

There are other relaxation areas on the deckhouse, at the bow, where two sun pads allow to enjoy the sun in the utmost privacy.

TECHNOLOGY AND PERFORMANCES

Navetta 33 Crescendo can be fitted either with twin MAN V12 Common Rail 1400Mhp at 2100rpm engines in the standard version or, upon request, with twin MAN V12 1550Mhp engines. Performances will be a top speed of 17 and 20 knots and a cruising speed between 15 and 16 knots, respectively, depending on the type of engines installed.

The semi-planing hull allows not only to reach high top speeds, but also to enjoy long range cruises enjoying the utmost comfort, excellent seaworthiness, and optimised consumption values at transfer speeds between 10 and 13 knots. For example, at a speed of 10 knots the maximum range will be approximately 2,300 nautical miles.

Three Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilisers, which come standard on Ferretti Custom Line’s yachts, reduce rolling by over 50%.

This yacht is also fitted with a fully independent dual navigation system with 3D functions and an optional Satellite Photofusion function. The “FORWARD LOOKING” sonar can also be found onboard this unit, a system that sounds the sea bottom in front of the bow and therefore allows to cruise safely even in less familiar waters, near coral reefs and in shallow water with surfacing rocks.

This yacht also responds to the increasing demand for on-board infotainment, featuring Seamphony’s Audio-Video Media Server entertainment system, integrated with the OPEN SEA V-SAT broadband web connection module.

The onboard CCTV system allows to get a view of the entire yacht, even under the propellers, thanks to two underwater cameras installed on the hull and to a FLIR thermal imaging camera during night cruising. Moreover, the yacht features innovative instrumentation which includes the new Furla.NET monitoring and control system through which users can monitor and manage utilities, services, and alarms simply and immediately using a touch screen. This solution makes it even easier for the crew to access on-board systems, increasing comfort and safety. The helm station also includes six large displays with glass finish and LED technology for all navigation, automation and CCTV systems.

CRN launch 43m motor yacht LADY GENYR

May 02, 2013

The well known Italian luxury yacht builder CRN has launched its second vessel this year, the 43m motor yacht LADY GENYR. Superyacht LADY GENYR is the 8th Navetta 43 yacht, featuring internal lift and a new sun deck layout.

CRN launch Navetta 43 motor yacht LADY GENYR

CRN launch Navetta 43 motor yacht LADY GENYR

In a private ceremony, this morning at Ancona, CRN Shipyard launched the megayacht CRN Navetta 43 #08 “Lady Genyr”, 43 metres. The launching was attended by the Owner’s family, the workers and the top management of CRN.

CRN is the Ferretti Group‘s Shipyard specialising in the construction and marketing of fully-custom and semi-custom megayachts made of steel, aluminium and composite material, ranging from 40 to 90 metres.

Lady Genyr superyacht is the eighth megayacht of the successful Navetta 43 line, a valuable result considering  the size of this type of vessel. The first was CRN Navetta 43 #01 motor yacht Emerald Star now renamed to Emotion (delivered in 2007), followed by #02 charter yacht Hana and #03 Rubeccan (2008), #4 charter yacht Sofico (2009), #5 Eviva and #06 Kate (2010) and #07 Lady Trudy superyacht (2011), all megayachts with entirely customized interiors.

Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman and CEO of CRN S.p.a., claimed “Today’s launching is a further important step for CRN in establishing itself among the top players of international yachting. Just three months from the historic launching of the 80 metre ‘Chopi Chopi’, the largest pleasure vessel ever manufactured by CRN, the eighth Navetta 43 was put to sea. This continuity shows the commitment and the productive capacity of the Shipyard that has shown itself capable of combining innovation and tradition, creating tailor-made products for each Client”.

M/Y CRN NAVETTA 43 “LADY GENYR” yacht of 43 METRES

The megayacht Lady Genyr is a displacement Navetta made of composite material, entirely Made in Italy and the suppliers involved were mainly local, as in all other CRN products.

The external shape and the internal layout of the megayacht were designed by the architects of Studio Zuccon International Project, while CRN Naval Engineering has taken care of the naval project and the architects of the CRN office for Interior design found solutions for the interiors and the furnishing.

The pleasure ship, 43 metres long and 8.6 wide, can comfortably host 10 passengers in five cabins (an Owner’s suite + four VIP cabins) and 9 crew members and it can sail in absolute comfort at a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, with its 2 Caterpillar C32-C engines. It has a range of about 3,800 miles at 11 knots, therefore, perfectly capable of sailing across the ocean.

With its four decks and hull with bulbous, motor yacht Lady Genyr, when compared to the other megayachts of the Navetta 43 line, has a new layout of the sun deck, characterized by even wider spaces. Among its special features is the internal lift linking the decks, expressly requested by the Owner.

A distinctive feature of this vessel, like on most other ships of the CRN fleet, is the terrace of the Owner’s suite which is set up as a “balcony” with coffee tables and armchairs for breakfast, to be enjoyed while sailing.

In the interior spaces, classic timeless features prevail, giving it a design of sharp elegance.

It is worth noting the large area set up as a fitness area at the stern, equipped with Technogym and Kinesis equipment, practically overlooking the beach by the sea, a distinctive feature of CRN and a true “must have” for the clients, who will be able to experience a unique way of enjoying close contact with the sea, in a very direct manner.

The vessel is also equipped with by “myOlos”, an integrated entertainment, info and domotics system, developed by the partnership among CRN, Videoworks and Intel to obtain on board functionality and a more user-friendly technology. The system allows you to manage easily all the entertainment – including audio and video on demand – air conditioning, video-surveillance, light and curtain control, just by using an iPad.

Once launched, the luxury yacht Lady Genyr will remain at the shipyard for the interiors to be completed: the final delivery to the Owner will take place in July.

New 90m luxury yacht by Zuccon SuperYacht Design

May 02, 2013

Zuccon SuperYacht Design, the new brand of Zuccon International Project, focusing on the research and development of new maxi yacht projects, announced its new project: the 90m Luxury SuperYacht.  The new 90m ZSYD Yacht Project boasts simple lines and high priority to external spaces.

90m ZSYD yacht project

New 90m Zuccon SuperYacht Design yacht project

The new superyacht concept 90M/SYD has been realized personally by Bernardo Zuccon, responsible for the  Zuccon SYD together with his sister Martina, and is characterized by a very distinctive pattern, strongly architectural, focused on vertical surfaces and limited to a few essential drawing, resulting in a yacht with a sharp and captivating design. From a functional point of view, great attention has been given to the external spaces’ equipment, both in the  common and the owner’s areas. Moreover, setting up the green areas as greenhouses and winter gardens, adds a further distinctive and singular touch.

The 90M/SYD is a MotorYacht 90m long and 13,50 m large, with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. From a distributive point of view there are several distinguishing solution to point out. The four decks, along with the Sun Deck, are all connected with central large stairs and elevator. Comparing to other projects the Lobby here take on great importance through a double height effect, that gives a strong scenic impact.

ZSYD yacht concept 90m

ZSYD yacht concept 90m

In the lower deck the transom door could be opened in three different section, for the maximum functional flexibility, and gives access to an ample beach club, directly connected to the lobby by a hallway  that goes through the garage and the engine room. The remaining deck is dedicated to the crew, with the exception of the Jolly area, which can be used either as a Cinema, Fitness room or a Spa.

On the main deck the traditional cockpit conception has been abandoned. The cockpit turns into an entrance gate while the guest’s external living area has been moved on the upper deck for a highest privacy.  The main deck is entirely dedicated to the guests: a first wide living zone has been divided in three portions: a formal living one, a cinema and a bar area with two balconies. In this latter zone a great double height links optically the main deck with superior. Beyond the living area are four double cabins and two VIP cabins provided with a balcony.

On the upper deck the external space becomes the focal point of the life onboard. A clever system of sliding glass-walls allows to transform the inner dining area into an outside dining area (patio), creating a unique setting that includes the big swimming pool and the  large sunbathing area. On this deck also took place the cockpit along with the Owner’s cabin and studio, while on the aft part are the helipad and another relax sitting area with sunbeds and sofas.

ZSYD 90m superyacht concept

ZSYD 90m superyacht concept

Going up there is the deck entirely dedicated to the owner, with a studio, spa, two large terrace (on the stern one, on the aft the other) as well as a huge fitness area, adjusted so to be used also from the other guests.

Accordingly to the planning principles, the Sun deck is completely open and equipped with a Jacuzzi, a lunch area and an ample sunbathing surface.

Bernardo Zuccon: the designer comment

In the  history of the Studio Zuccon, My 90 mt represents a significant transition since it is the very first concept elaborated by ZSYD, Zuccon Super Yacht Design, the new Brand from Zuccon International Project;  the new division will be entirely dedicated both to the research and the development of new maxi yacht’s projects.

The language is based on the belief that complexity and success of a ‘maxi’ product lays on the concept of ‘Timeless’ , that is conceiving a product whose image could be strengthen up in time through a peculiar and unique characterization in term of style, typology and functionality.

Having this feedback in mind, the 90 mt has been marked out  by using a formal language, minimal and rigorous, defined by a large surface, vertically developed, that ‘embraces’ the volumes  through its transversal section, while, at the same time, it allows to spot immediately the vertical distribution system, thus standing as a formal breaking point in the articulation of the horizontal volumes that defines the bridges.

What truly characterizes this vessel is for sure the sense of motion given by this specific surface, that tends to ‘close up’ the whole ship, moving on high; a double heights system in the Lobbies area make it possible to appreciate this feature also from the interiors.

ZSYD luxury yacht concept

ZSYD luxury yacht concept

In terms of balancing and functionality, the layout shows clearly how the integration between external and internal lays the foundation for all the living-areas; in comparison to more traditional solutions adopted on similar vessels, the exteriors gets a key role in defining the spaces allocation, coming at the point of physically  ‘entering’ into other volumes. A clear example is the use of teak in the dining area on the upper deck: a clever system of sliding glass-walls allows to transform this room from a inner-formal into an outside-informal dining area.

This concept gets an additional validation also with the confirmation of the green theme, already experimented on other concept, and here brought back as a main architectural element. Greenhouse and green walls blends in the space that becomes a unicum between matter and nature.

The aft part of the upper deck is surely another characterizing element, where the most part of the outdoor activities takes place, thanks both to the abundance of space and the large swimming pool.

The main deck is organized with a double living room and, moving towards the bow area, the guest cabins with a common parlor and two terrace.

While the main and upper deck has been planned to welcome both the host and the cockpit, while a full deck entirely dedicated to the Owner,  to grant him all the privacy one could desire;  two large terrace and a gym/spa area complete the whole package.

Another distinguishing aspect, inspired by studies on other living solution, is the theme of spatial integration between the bridges’ common area;  wide double heights allows to unify optically and physically the bridges, offering potential new opportunities to conceive the space.

Having perfectly clear the importance of the external spaces, the sun deck represents, for its configuration, a key point in the layout definition: its great dimension make it possible for guests and Owner to have a comfortable terrace also on the vessel’s highest point.

Proving signs of an image that is recognizable, timeless, well balanced in the relationship between hull’s and superstructure’s volumes,  as well as in the stylistic and distributive internal solutions, while, at the same time, proving to be a perfect answer to the market’s needs.

The product has to be open towards the ultimate technological updates that brings up new and different  opportunities for the onboard life, together with new challenges for the ship owner, although never missing the bond with the sea’s true nature.

SYD mission is very precise: fully commit all the experience and kow-how gained through the years, dealing with Italian and International shipyards. The new brand ZSYD (SuperYachtDesign) unifies under a simple structure two maun values: continuity and innovation.

Zuccon SuperYacht Design (ZSYD)

Zuccon SuperYacht Design (ZSYD) is the new brand entirely dedicated to the research and the development of new maxi yachts  projects. ZSYD was launched in 2013 by Zuccon International Project the highly skilled multidisciplinary architecture and industrial design studio founded in Rome in 1972 by the architects Gianni Zuccon and his wife Paola Galeazzi. Active in various sectors, designs for offices, residential architecture. Especially in the yacht industry they are considered a leading international design firm. Today, they are working extensively with five of the eight brands of the Ferretti Group.

The layout also includes three crew cabins with reserved access from the galley, a solution normally found on maxi-yachts only. The external profile sets a new trend in the design of large planing hulls: the glazing running along the entire main deck “cuts” the hull from stern to the extreme bow, contributing to a much lighter profile that ensures incredible interior brightness and endows the yacht with a very sporty look.

As regards performances, the new flagship comes in three different sets of MTU engines. The standard version has two 16V 2000 M84 2218 mhp engines allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 27.5 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. Two optional solutions include two 16V M93 2435 mhp engines or two 16V M94 2638 mhp engines, respectively. In the former version, the maximum speed will be 29 knots, the cruising speed – 25; in the latter, more powerful version, which is the one found on the first yacht just launched, the Ferretti 960 can reach a peak of 31 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots (preliminary data). Such an outstanding propulsion, as usual, goes hand in hand with the maximum comfort ensured by the Mitsubishi Anti Rolling Gyro system, capable of reducing rolling by over 50%.

Italian luxury yacht builder CRN presents itself in Hong Kong

March 27, 2013

The prestigious Italian luxury yacht builder, CRN, part of the Ferretti Group, targets the Eastern markets with determination. As part of this strategy, the shipyard has recently presented itself to the media, hosting a tailor-made event in Hong Kong.

CRN Shipyard in Ancona, Italy

CRN Shipyard in Ancona, Italy

The Ferretti Group shipyard in Ancona, specialized in the manufacturing and marketing of fully custom and semi-custom alluminium or composite mega yachts, ranging from 40 to 90 metres, has decided to present the strategies, results, trends and prospects to the operators of the “Greater China” market, a term which is commonly used to refer to the area that includes China together with Macao and Hong Kong.

For this purpose, CRN organized a press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel and Mauro Frattesi, Ferretti Group Apac Managing Director, Lamberto Tacoli, President and CEO of CRN, and Luca Boldrini, Marketing Manager, gave speeches.

The Hong Kong event, which was important for CRN’s development strategies, followed the historic launching of the 80 metre CRN 129 motor yacht Chopi Chopi held on 12th January, just a few days before the Hainan Rendez Vous (30th March – 2nd April), the great international event dedicated to luxury, which has gained more and more importance over the years, and in which CRN will participate together with the Ferretti Group to meet clients and brokers.

During the press conference, President Tacoli presented the company’s situation, starting from the recent launching of the superyacht Chopi Chopi, the largest megayacht manufactured by the shipyard, which was launched in Ancona on 12th January after an event that was open to the city and attended by 4000 people.

Tacoli mentioned that CRN celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013, an important milestone which confirms the tradition and stability of the shipyard, which in the past experienced difficult moments and which operates within a complex market, sometimes turbulent, and which has even seen some brands disappear.

The Marketing Manager of CRN, Luca Boldrini, highlighted the importance of completely customized productions, adaptability and the novelties of the new yachts, emphasizing the different external lines constantly proposed by the ship owners and researched in collaboration with the most important international yacht designer firms.

CRN is well-established among the international shipbuilding elite, and records confirm its vitality: in fact, in the shipyard of Ancona 7 yachts of the CRN brand are being manufactured: six steel and aluminum megayachts –CRN 125 60 m luxury yacht J’Ade, launched in November 2012 and which will be delivered to the ship owner in April, CRN 129 80 m mega yacht Chopi Chopi, launched on 12th January and which will be delivered in May, 74m superyacht CRN 131 (all designed by Zuccon International Project), CRN 132 73 m (designed by Omega Architects), CRN 133 60 m (designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design), CRN 134 55 m (designed by Nuvolari & Lenard) – and a 43m CRN Navetta 43 made of composite, also designed by Zuccon International Project.

Among other things, the 60 metre superyacht J’Ade continues to have the success of the previous megayachts which have a 10.2 metre wide platform, and that has led to the manufacturing of important ships in the history of CRN, namely, charter yacht Ability, charter yacht Maraya, Romance, superyacht Blue Eyes, motor yacht Mimtee and luxury yacht Darlings Danama, but with design and technological innovations that make then unique.

Together with these CRN ships, in the shipyard of Ancona five maxiyachts of the Custom Line brand are being built (two CL 124’, two CL Navetta 33 Crescendo and the CL 112’ yacht Next) and the Riva 122’ superyacht Mythos made of aluminum, all of which are being manufactured. This is an impressive number of yachts, especially when their size and prestige is taken into consideration.

CRN is the world-bearer of the Made in Italy, which represents excellence, fusing creativity, design, technology and craftsmanship in single products, and is always tailor-made to the ship owners.

Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman and CEO of CRN said
: “This is an important moment for the development of our business, because it allows us to reach a market area that is very important for us, especially in the long term. We would like to emphasize that the Ferretti Group has already been present in this region for a long time, it opened an office in Shanghai over 8 years ago and it has a network of competent and trustworthy distributors. It is obvious that China has been an attractive market so far, but it will be more so in the coming years, when the yachting culture will have spread even more. We know that we need to be patient to see significant results.”

“CRN looks ahead to the next events, such as the 50th anniversary and two more launchings this season, a 60 metre and 43 metre, and above all the Monaco Yacht Show in September, where we will present the finished and equipped Chopi Chopi and J’Ade: it will be a decisive milestone for us to reach our clientele, which has become international. Besides the whole of the Asia Pacific, the markets that we are targeting are North, South and Central America, Africa, which is slow but emerging, and obviously the Middle East, as we wait for Europe to recover its share,” concluded Tacoli.

New Model Descriptions:

Ferretti 870
Luxury motor yacht Ferretti 870 is yet another accomplishment resulting from the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project and Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (AYTD). The Ferretti 870 enhances some of the most successful features of its line and stands out for a large number of innovative design solutions, including the bronze dome over the navigation bridge and large glazing extending along the entire main deck and in the hull, at the cabins’ level. The two open-view windows in the master cabin, in particular, have now been joined by large windows with opening portholes in the guest cabins and two windows in the VIP cabin, which result in extraordinary indoor brightness and offer guests wonderful views.

The increased length of this new model can be immediately perceived in the cockpit – so wide it can really be considered as an outdoor lounge where time can be pleasantly spent in good company. The teak table seating six/eight people has been joined, even in the standard version, by a functional bar unit located on the port side and beside the glazed door leading to the salon which includes a lower gunwale at the level of the dining area, a solution normally found on much larger yachts.

Ferretti 870 Yacht - Cabin

Ferretti 870 Yacht - Cabin

The new Ferretti 870 yacht comes with two 12V 2000 M94 MTU engines having a power of 1948 mph at 2450 rev/min. and allowing it to reach a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 30.5 knots. At the maximum speed, the boat has a range of 300 nautical miles, which increases to 358 nautical miles at cruising speed.

Ferretti 690
The new Ferretti 690 is yet another outstanding result of the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project, Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (AYTD). The Ferretti 690 marks a further step forward for the Ferretti Yachts fleet under 70 feet in length as its outer lines have been redesigned, resulting in a sportier and sleeker profile. The extensive use of glazed surfaces, in particular, makes the yacht’s exterior look lighter and ensures that plenty of natural light can brighten the interiors.

Ferretti 690 Yacht

The new model is a really sporty craft, featuring continuous glazing from stern to bow, which widens in the central part, reaching the gunwale. In the hull, the large open-view windows at the height of the master stateroom have now been joined by more glazing in the guest cabins and the forward VIP cabin. The sleek outer lines are further enhanced by the innovative flybridge, which features an elongated tail and ends in a small roll bar for the recessed installation of the SAT domes.

The new Ferretti 690 yacht – approximately 69 feet long and 18′ 2″ wide – presents two available interior layouts, with three or four cabins. On the lower deck the two options are based on a different position of the stairs and on a different design of lobby, guest cabins and heads amidships. The full-beam owner cabin is even more functional and spacious. The decision to place the bathroom – with separate shower – and the large walk-in wardrobe towards the stern, increases the Owners’ privacy and the distance between this cabin and the engine room. The flybridge has been extensively renewed to ensure the maximum relaxation area.

New generation engines have been selected: twin MAN V8, 1000 mhp in the standard version, with 1200 mhp as an option. These compact engines will save space in the engine room allowing for an optional second generator. When equipped with the standard engines, this yacht will reach a maximum speed of 30 knots (with a range of 280 nautical miles) and a cruising speed of 27 knots (in this case the range increases to 300 nautical miles). When the optional, more powerful engines are installed, the maximum speed will be 33 knots (with a range of 250 nautical miles), the cruising speed 30 knots (range – 280 nautical miles).

Pershing 82 ‘
The Pershing 82’ superyacht features cutting edge design, excellent performance and top comfort for on board living. Penciled once again by the yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, in collaboration with Advanced Yacht Technology & Design – the naval research and design center of the Ferretti Group.

Pershing 82 Superyacht

From above, the eye-capturing feature of the luxury motor yacht Pershing 82’ is its sun-deck with optional retractable helm station. This area can be reached by means of an innovative carbon fiber staircase that is lowered automatically into the cockpit by an electro-hydraulic control, the staircase disappears upwards when not used, leaving a wide free space in the cockpit. Aft is a sunbathing area with separate backrests which – upon the ship owner’s request – can fold electrically. Down on the main-deck, one of the most comfortable areas, is the wide space in the cockpit and main salon. This space is divided by one of Pershing’s staple features: a retractable door which is electro-hydraulically controlled and opens both the salon and cockpit into one large area by lowering into the floor. Offering typical amenities found on megayachts alike, the galley, which is L-shaped, modern and completely separate from the salon and the sleeping area, to allow greater privacy for the ship owner and his guests. Below deck the Pershing 82′ can be built in two different versions.

The standard layout has 4 guest cabins and the optional layout has 3 guest cabins with a lounge cinema room starboard. The side windows are wider and the portholes can be opened, providing more air and luminosity in the ensuite heads, VIP and twin berth cabins.

The Pershing 82 yacht is equipped with two 2435 hp MTU engines with surface propulsion system together with Rolla surface piercing propellers, capable of reaching top speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 38 knots, with a range of 300 nautical miles. The propulsion system is run by AUTOTRIM, an exclusive functionality that optimizes the performance and the consumption of the boat at any speed and with any load, in a completely automatic manner.

Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Cresendo
The Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Crescendo yacht was quickly recognized as one of the most prestigious luxury yachts in the world.  The Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Crescendo is 85 ft in length and almost 22 ft in width, a natural development in the compact semi-displacement line. The result of the close working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project and the Ferretti Group’s Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (AYTD). All areas on the interior design of the Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Cresendo can be entirely personalized as its loving owner chooses.

Specially designed for those owners who prefer a leisurely cruise in complete silence and total comfort, this crescendo yacht also features a nice flow to her interior and exterior design to perfectly complement its voluminous body and stylistic name. New design features have been incorporated such as a large extended sun-deck, a new sliding glazed door system, and a reduced draft of under 6 feet for sailing in the US and Caribbean. The full beam owner suite is located at bow in a most privileged position. Furthermore, the new yacht once again confirms the high level of attention the Ferretti Group pays to the environment, guaranteeing excellent consumption efficiency and a considerable sailing range.

Zuccon presents its new Zuccon Superyacht Design brand

January 30, 2013

The prominent Italian design studio, Zuccon International Project, closed the year 2012 with the November 17 launch of the 60-metre CRN motor yacht “J’Ade”, and started the year 2013 with another new development: the January 12 launch of the 80-metre CRN mega yacht “Chopi Chopi”, in Ancona. “Chopi Chopi” as well as “J’Ade” represent a new Zuccon project: the Zuccon Superyacht Design brand. The company has created this new division to concentrate exclusively on the study and customisation of new maxi yacht projects.

Only weeks after the launch of the 60 metre superyacht J’Ade, Zuccon and CRN are celebrating another success together. On Saturday, January 12, at a big event in Ancona involving the city and the surrounding area as well as the yachting and business communities, they launched the long-awaited 80 metre mega yacht “Chopi Chopi”, CRN hull number 129.

This historic milestone is a source of great satisfaction for the Ferretti Group shipyard and Zuccon International Project (ZIP), for “Chopi Chopi” is the biggest yacht ever built in the Ancona shipyard, and one of the biggest to be made in any Italian shipyard; it is also the biggest maxi yacht Zuccon has designed so far. Last but not least of the studio’s mega yachts, the new 80 m vessel represents the continuation of a long path that has seen Zuccon design numerous large yachts in recent years.

Zuccon International Project began designing maxi yachts with the 46 m yacht Al Fahedi back in 1986, built of steel and aluminium in the Baglietto shipyard in Varazze, followed by various other projects working on yachts of different sizes which have added to the Roman studio’s yacht design experience.

The studio has worked more and more often on projects on this scale in recent years, primarily with the CRN shipyard in Ancona, which has built many of Zuccon’s projects – such as the 60 m superyacht Blu Eyes, the 43 m motor yacht Lady Trudy or the 60 m megayacht Darling’s Danama, to mention only a few of the most recent projects, and is currently working on completion of five superyachts: in addition to the 80 metre Chopi Chopi and the 60 m “J’Ade” (CRN 125), it has the 74 metre yacht CRN 131 and two 43 m semi-displacing yachts under construction.

Implementation of these ambitious projects is the result of a very successful partnership which goes back many years between Zuccon and CRN. Seen in perspective, Zuccon International Project’s strong focus on the “megayacht” segment has even more to say about the studio’s future.

Now that it is working more frequently on big boats, the Roman studio has decided to usher in the year 2013 with the launch of a new brand: Zuccon SuperYacht Design. Zuccon International Project or ZIP already had a division concerned primarily with large yachts, but the establishment of Zuccon SuperYacht Design gives a further boost to this field of work, while maintaining strong ties with the brand’s history, tradition and design heritage.

Martina & Bernardo Zuccon

SYD has a very specific mission putting to work the experience and know-how it has accumulated over decades of work for Italian and international shipyards. The new brand, ZSYD or Zuccon SuperYachtDesign, has a simple structure reflecting two very important values: continuity and innovation.

Zuccon SuperYacht Design will be primarily under the responsibility of the new generation in the studio, Martina and Bernardo Zuccon, the daughter and son of the studio’s founders, architects who have played an active role in the family-run yacht design studio for many years now. The new generation marks the start of a new history, drawing on the traditions of the past and experimentation for the future!
