Luxury Motor Yacht Ownership by Absolute Fractionals

March 26, 2012

Hassle free luxury Motor Yacht ownership will be launched at the Phuket International Boat Show, through the Marine Division of Asia’s award-winning shared ownership pioneer, Absolute Fractionals with the first shared ownership boat on display – the luxury motor yacht Elan 42 designed by renowned Tony Castro. No longer is the desire of owning a luxury Motor Yacht so far away – now that millionaire lifestyle is very much available.

Fractional Ownership, or asset sharing, is taking the world by storm, as a smart lifestyle investment, particularly in the current climate. From executive jets to sports cars and vacation homes… and now, luxury Motor Yachts.

An innovative ownership and ultra-modern lifestyle investment, Absolute have pioneered Fractional Ownership Resort Real Estate in Asia and now apply their award-winning experience bringing to market Fractional Motor Yacht ownership through their Marine division.

Launching at Asia‘s biggest Boat Show, the Phuket International Boat Show (PIMEX) from 29th March to 1st April, Absolute Fractionals’ luxury motor yacht Elan 42 will be the first shared ownership boat moored at the Show at Royal Phuket Marina, Phuket Island.

For a fraction of the cost, and without the hassle of full ownership, one can experience Phuket’s extensive marine lifestyle with family and friends aboard his own Motor Yacht. Within 30 minutes, one can be in Phang Nga Bay enjoying some of the most beautiful sailing grounds in the world and the location for many a Hollywood blockbuster movie.

“Fractional Ownership has become the preferred ownership choice for many astute buyers around the world. At Absolute World Group we successfully pioneered Fractional Ownership for real estate in Asia, and have delivered vacation ownership experiences to thousands of satisfied customers,” said Bryan Lunt, Chairman of Absolute World Group, parent company of Absolute Fractionals.

“Responding to the desires of our customers for new and even more exciting vacation experiences, we are proud to launch the first of many luxury Motor Yachts under Absolute Fractionals, which allows customers to purchase only the time they plan to use, and enjoy their investment with no on-going financial concerns,” added Lunt.

The concept is simple: why pay for something in full that you will use only part of the time? Why not share the costs with other like-minded people? Without breaking the bank, buyers can now ‘own’ a share in a luxury Motor Yacht, pay simply for what they use, and not need to worry about ongoing maintenance fees.

Fractional Ownership means costs are shared between all the owners, including mooring, maintenance, crew and insurance fees, allowing owners the peace of mind to enjoy a luxury boating lifestyle, without the financial concerns.

The Tony Castro designed yacht Elan 42 comes from one of Europe’s largest and long established shipbuilders, and features unique interior specifications which have been designed with overnight accommodation for the owner plus two guests and two crew, and single en-suite bathroom with separate shower. A truly luxurious marine experience.

For an economical price owners can live the life of the rich and famous, enjoying from three to 300 days on their boat each year. Absolute Fractionals Motor Yacht Ownership starts from only USD7,900 (one-off payment). Each investor owns a percentage of the motor yacht and is registered in the Certificate of Ownership as a shareholder in the asset. Owners can supplement their income by renting their annual allotment out for a fantastic return. At the end of their tenure (currently ten years), they will receive proceeds from the sale of the boat in proportion to their investment.

As the Absolute Boat Fractional programme builds, more luxury motor yachts will be added giving members more choice and the possibilities to upgrade to an even more super yacht.

Absolute Fractionals will debut the luxury yacht Elan 42 at the 2012 Phuket International Boat Show (PIMEX), held 29 March to 1 April at Royal Phuket Marina. Interested parties can step onboard the boat in the marina at berth D8, or visit the team in the exhibition hall at booth 46a. The team will also be at the Singapore Yacht Show later in April.

Sailing yacht Ameena re launched by Jongert – The First Jongert refit of 2011

May 09, 2011

After a refit Jongert Shipyard has recently re-launched sailing yacht Ameena, a Jongert 2900M-line yacht. ‘Once you have a Jongert yacht, you do not want to have any other type of yacht’, explains Jongert Shipyard’s project manager. ‘This again is proven by the fact that the owner who bought the  Ameena in 2004 brought the yacht back to the yard for a refit in December 2010.’ Now, five months later, the yacht is as good as new. In 2004 sail yacht Ameena designed by Tony Castro, received the prestigious ShowBoats International Award for the best sailing yacht in the category up to 40 meters in length.

A new look

‘In the past the owner of the Ameena had already purchased a used Jongert yacht. He was so pleased with this yacht, that he commissioned the construction of a brand-new Jongert 2900M-line yacht.  We are extremely proud that he has now chosen to have this yacht refitted by our yard.’ It happens more and more that owners decide to have their yacht refitted. ‘It’s the logical thing to do. It isn’t necessary to buy a new yacht every few years like you buy a new car. A Jongert yacht retains her qualities for decades and a refit is a good solution to give her a new look, a new styling, and also to incorporate the latest technology developed over the years.

Quality and confidence are decisive

‘We didn’t have a moment of doubt who would have to do this refit’, states the captain of the Ameena. ‘Of course there are shipyards for instance in countries like Spain, Italy and Turkey capable of doing an excellent job, but the confidence we have in Jongert’s Shipyard, as well as the outstanding quality and mentality we have come to appreciate during the long relationship, is the deciding factor to have the refit done by them.’

Sailed extensively

The Ameena is a sister ship of the sailing yacht that last year won the Superyacht Cup Palma 2010, the famous three-day regatta. ‘The Scorpio Dei Mare is technically seen fully designed for racing; the Ameena, however, is built for cruising with a small or no additional crew. However, the Ameena has the same lines as her twin ship and is a fast sailing yacht as well. The owner has used the Ameena extensively over the past years and in that period sailed faster than many racing yachts.’  The refit included a complete rigging update and a full check of all rigging, replacing parts where necessary. The mast has been stripped completely and the mainsail has been replaced.

As usual, during the refit, the drive system has been fully checked, the hydraulic system renewed and the water tank sandblasted. The yacht has been fully repainted and new carpeting has been laid in various areas. The Ameena is fully certified including of course a Lloyd’s certificate.

A fast sailer with lots of comfort and an own identity

Anyone who has seen the yacht before will then recognize her from afar. ‘The Ameena combines speed, luxury and comfort with a very own identity’, says the project manager. ‘On both sides of the deck saloon a beautiful teak rim has been fitted, the eye catcher of this yacht. This striking feature has, of course, been left intact during the refit. She has a new styling, but her beautiful lines, her outstanding sailing characteristics and her typical looks have not been changed.’
