Superyacht Intelligence Agency launches study to assess the economic impact of the superyacht industry.

July 26, 2011

The Superyacht Intelligence agency has launched a survey called the Economic Impact Report Survey 2011 which they hope will help them to assess the economic impact of the superyacht industry. Thousands of superyacht industry members have been asked to take the online survey, providing data for the global study.  Areas of analysis includes  industrial, financial, employment, manufacturing impact, cruising destinationscharter impact and a general superyacht consumption study.

The study was shaped after a debate at the American Superyacht Forum, a superyacht industry event, that revealed influential authorities and government bodies are still unaware of the size and scope of the emerging and expanding superyacht industry.

The global study is being sent to stakeholders in the market across the world and aims to show how much financial and socio-economic impact superyachts and the supporting industry has on the world today.

Martin H Redmayne, Chairman of the Yacht Report Group, of which Superyacht Intelligence is a division, commented:  ”I think it’s vital to generate a more global and regional report that the superyacht industry and its various bodies, associations and companies can use as influence or data to prove our worth and value.”

The findings of the survey and a full report of it will be published in time for the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show
