MacDougalls’ brings Seakeeper Gyro Stabilization Systems to the Cape

April 13, 2011

MacDougalls’ Cape Cod Marine Service has long been the go-to place for every boating need on the Cape, New England.  Always on the cutting edge, MacDougalls’ has enthusiastically signed on as a dealer and servicing installer for Seakeeper Gyro Stabilization Systems.

Seakeeper is the most innovative product of its kind on the market today,” said Daniel Vullemier, MacDougalls’ service manager.  “We’re impressed by their ability to attract the interest of, and partner with, world-class manufacturers such as Viking, Sunseeker and Azimut.  We also respect Seakeeper’s commitment to quality, technical assistance and customer service.”

“Seakeeper is perfect for us, as our customer base includes owners of large sportfishers and motoryachts.  Highly effective at low- and zero-speed, the gyro significantly reduces roll while drift fishing, trolling and while at dock in a high-traffic harbor,” he said.

“MacDougalls’ is an icon in New England,” said Seakeeper sales and marketing VP John Kermet.  “With more than 70 years experience, they have the qualities and customer relationships to further solidify Seakeeper’s market position.  They’re a respected addition to our global sales and support network.”

MacDougalls’ recently sent members of it production and service staff to Seakeeper’s facility for a week-long training seminar.  “They saw first-hand the exceptional engineering, development, manufacturing and quality control behind the Seakeeper gyro,” said Vullemier.

Located on five acres on Falmouth Harbor near Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, MacDougalls’ operates a 100-slip marina while providing expertise in refit engineering and project management.  The massive, modern facility offers a full array of services, including an electronics department and engine, systems, canvas, carpentry and paint shops.

Seakeeper is the world leader in active gyro stabilization for the recreational and commercial marine markets.  Small and lightweight, its versatile gyros can be installed in single or multiple configurations for optimum performance.  The company’s new M8000 is the most powerful gyro on the market on a per-pound, per-cubic foot and per-kW basis.  Seakeeper is supported worldwide by an extensive team of experienced dealers and service/installation centers.
