Ferretti Custom Line has been producing fibreglass maxi-yachts between 26 and 38 metres in length and has delivered the twelfth hull of the semi-displacement line Navetta 33 Crescendo yacht at its shipyard in Ancona (Italy) in the second half of April. This new model marks yet another important step forward in the brand’s international development.

We are particularly satisfied with the completion and delivery to the Owner of this new Navetta 33 Crescendo - explains Karin Paggi, Ferretti Yachts’s and Ferretti Custom Line’s EMEA Sales Manager. In particular, we are delighted to have introduced this new unit to the Continental and Eastern European market, which has always widely appreciated Ferretti Yachts’s and Ferretti Custom Line’s flybridge yachts.”

Motor Yacht Navetta 33 Crescendo is the result of the close cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project and the AYTD – Advanced Yacht Technology & Design, the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre. Its classical outer lines harmoniously blend with the contemporary design of the interiors, which can be fully customised to the Owner’s taste. Indeed, just like on the entire Ferretti Custom Line range, every non-structural detail, such as furniture and furnishings, fabrics, and décor, can be modified to meet the requirements of the Owner who, supported by Gruppo Ferretti’s architects and designers, can choose from among the best Italian and international companies to create a truly “tailor-made” yacht. Plenty of natural light brightens the spacious interiors filtering through the large glazing which makes the yacht’s profile truly unmistakable and reflects this model’s strong personality:  Navetta 33 Crescendo yacht stands out in its segment for its 3 full decks perfectly integrated into the line of the yacht, for an innovative new feature – a large sundeck -, as well as for a series of design solutions aiming to let its guests really enjoy the emotion of direct contact with the sea.

On the main deck, the large salon features a system of sliding glazed doors on the starboard broadside, with a collapsible gunwale which minimises any existing visual and physical barriers between the yacht and the sea.

The full-beam Owner suite is located at bow, in a privileged position. Onboard guest-and-crew circulation routes have been skilfully separated by making the crew area directly accessible from the galley. The crew area is completely separated from the guest cabins located on the lower deck, which are all fitted with large open view windows that characterise the profile of the hull also from the outside.

Also deserving mention are the extraordinary innovations found in the upper part of the yacht, from the dining area on the upper deck – which features an original system of circular sliding doors resulting in a very flexible layout and interior space division – to the restyled sundeck.

MAIN DECK

From the large cockpit, furnished with two facing Flow sofas by Manutti and two telescopic coffee tables that can also be used as dining tables, access is gained to the salon on the main deck, characterised by central walls and furniture in American oak wood and Stile white/grey parquet floorings.

The salon features a large conversation area, on the left, furnished with a custom-made sofa designed to the Owner’s taste and featuring a series of oak wood shelves integrated in the armrest and a Poltrona Frau Ninfea model coffee table in leather, oak wood and dark lacquered wood. To the right is an original bar corner, featuring a unit with a sliding wooden surface which hides a Corian sink. The TV screen standing on the unit is surrounded by a cream shade leather frame and can slide forward revealing a fully-equipped bar area. Further on, to starboard, are the sliding glazed doors leading to the broadside with collapsible gunwale. The glass partition is covered by an American style curtain. To the left, besides the conversation area, stands a large Riva 1920 oval table that can seat up to 8 people, with Maggy chairs by BPA International.

Amidships, on the right, a stairway connects the upper and the lower decks, while on the left access can be gained to the galley with dinette, by Arclinea, which can also be reached through a door on the left broadside and from the crew area, at the extreme bow of the  lower deck.

The Owner area is located forward, a location ensuring the utmost privacy. This spacious area is brightened by plenty of natural light which filters through the wide side glazing and is characterised by the kaki shade of leather and of the headboard and the cream shade of the walls, with the storage compartment for the curtains. This area is divided into a working zone furnished with a writing desk with an Asterix model cream-shade leather armchair by Poltrona Frau and a large walk-in wardrobe located to starboard. A second working zone has been obtained along the left broadside, and features a small vanity set and a cream leather seat.

The spacious bathroom is dominated by two types of marble which alternate in the shower walls, just like in all other heads on this Navetta, as well as by lacquered surfaces. The large custom-made shower box has been fitted, upon request by the Owner, with two shower heads and two benches, and features Grohe taps and Gedy accessories, both belonging to the Veris line.

Another distinctive element shared by all heads on this Navetta are the Corian washbasins which differ from previous models for their curved lines – a small but significant detail that highlights Ferretti Custom Line’s will to offer the utmost onboard safety and comfort by paying attention to the very tiniest details.

LOWER DECK

Going below deck via the stairway located amidships, guests can reach the lower deck lobby, featuring chamois shade leather floorings. From there, access is gained to the 3 guest cabins and the gym. The latter is located to port, towards the bow, and is equipped with Technogym equipment. A glass door separates it from the Turkish bath, where marble walls alternate with mosaic walls, ceilings and benches. Astern are the other two mirroring guest cabins, both furnished with a double bed, which, in the one on the left, as requested by the Owner, can be split into two twin beds. All three cabins enjoy a wonderful view on the sea thanks to large open-view windows and are fitted with ensuite bathroom with separate shower and a walk-in wardrobe.

At the bow are the crew quarters, completely separated from the guest area. The laundry area can be found on the left and a hostess cabin on the right. Further on, there are two twin cabins with bunk beds and head. The Captain’s cabin, featuring a private head and shower, is located at the extreme bow in a slightly raised position.

UPPER DECK

The superstructures of the luxury yacht Navetta 33 Crescendo have been completely refurbished and unmistakably reflect the painstaking care devoted to onboard liveability and to achieving innovative design solutions, offering the Owners and their guests a new relationship with the sea, from a truly privileged position.

The upper deck can be accessed from both the stairway found in the salon and the one in the main deck cockpit. It is divided into the helm station, the living and dining areas, and an open-air section. The spacious helm station is furnished with two pilot seats, a charting area, and a small sofa; a door separates it from the guest area. Upon request by the Owner, a micro-lift has been installed allowing to serve meals in this area by lifting the dishes directly from the galley. The pilot area has been completed with two outdoor steering stations on both sides, making manoeuvres even smoother.

The living area is extremely bright thanks to the continuous glazing and is furnished with a custom-made sofa in American fabric, an Axis coffee table by Matteo Grassi in clay-shade leather, and a small Gaggenau cellar unit.

The great innovation on this yacht, however, is the dining area, which features a system of 4 curved sliding doors from bow to stern making it possible to create different layouts in this area. Inside this original, circular, highly versatile lunch area – which can be connected to or separated from the living and outdoor areas or even connected to both to create one single, charming open space – there is a large round, custom-made table which can seat up to 8 people and can be extended depending on the number of guests. Featuring a teak top and a base lined in leather, this table has been matched with cream-shade leather Skip chairs by Bonaldo, some with armrests, some without.

From the dining room it is possible to reach the outdoor area, furnished with a Flow model sofa in fabric by Manutti and equipped with a steel and glass lobster tank for storing freshly caught fish. This area can also be customised with freestanding furnishings, depending on the Owner’s taste. Further astern there is room for the tender, complete with a davit.

SUNDECK AND BOW

The sundeck, which can be reached by means of a stairway located on the left towards the stern on the upper deck, has been conceived to offer guests a “private” sunbathing area. A large circular Jacuzzi tub is located in the middle, while a bar unit, an icemaker, a fridge, and a grill have been fitted in a unit underneath the mast, just like the shower. A large sundeck is located forward, whilst astern the area used for sunbathing is furnished with 3 Ego Paris, Kube Collection sun loungers that can be converted into armchairs, fitted with white cushions and armrests that can also be used as practical tables. This area, which can be furnished according to the Owner’s tastes, can become another storage for water toys.

There are other relaxation areas on the deckhouse, at the bow, where two sun pads allow to enjoy the sun in the utmost privacy.

TECHNOLOGY AND PERFORMANCES

Navetta 33 Crescendo can be fitted either with twin MAN V12 Common Rail 1400Mhp at 2100rpm engines in the standard version or, upon request, with twin MAN V12 1550Mhp engines. Performances will be a top speed of 17 and 20 knots and a cruising speed between 15 and 16 knots, respectively, depending on the type of engines installed.

The semi-planing hull allows not only to reach high top speeds, but also to enjoy long range cruises enjoying the utmost comfort, excellent seaworthiness, and optimised consumption values at transfer speeds between 10 and 13 knots. For example, at a speed of 10 knots the maximum range will be approximately 2,300 nautical miles.

Three Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilisers, which come standard on Ferretti Custom Line’s yachts, reduce rolling by over 50%.

This yacht is also fitted with a fully independent dual navigation system with 3D functions and an optional Satellite Photofusion function. The “FORWARD LOOKING” sonar can also be found onboard this unit, a system that sounds the sea bottom in front of the bow and therefore allows to cruise safely even in less familiar waters, near coral reefs and in shallow water with surfacing rocks.

This yacht also responds to the increasing demand for on-board infotainment, featuring Seamphony’s Audio-Video Media Server entertainment system, integrated with the OPEN SEA V-SAT broadband web connection module.

The onboard CCTV system allows to get a view of the entire yacht, even under the propellers, thanks to two underwater cameras installed on the hull and to a FLIR thermal imaging camera during night cruising. Moreover, the yacht features innovative instrumentation which includes the new Furla.NET monitoring and control system through which users can monitor and manage utilities, services, and alarms simply and immediately using a touch screen. This solution makes it even easier for the crew to access on-board systems, increasing comfort and safety. The helm station also includes six large displays with glass finish and LED technology for all navigation, automation and CCTV systems.

The Ferretti Group, one of the world leaders in designing, constructing as well as marketing luxury motoryachts, with an amazing portfolio of some of the most exclusive and prominent brands in the nautical world, inaugurated yesterday the new nautical year as a protagonist of the 35th edition of the Festival International de la Plaisance in Cannes. The company is showcasing a substantial fleet including 24 boats, 5 of which in world debut: motor yacht Ferretti 870, luxury yacht Ferretti 690, Pershing 82’ superyacht, Riva 63’ Virtus and Mochi Craft Dolphin 64 Cruiser.

In addition, the traditional Ferretti Group Meeting was held once again this year, at the Cannes Boat Show. This is the tenth edition, during which, in front of a large audience of employees, dealers, clients, suppliers and the media, the Founder and Honorary Chairman, Norberto Ferretti, the new President, Tan Xuguang, and the new CEO, Ferruccio Rossi, gave the first report on the nautical year and introduced the renewed corporate structure formed after the capital inflow in the Ferretti Group of Weichai, The Royal Bank of Scotland and the Strategic Value Partners, as well as the Group’s objectives for the coming months.

In fact, thanks to important synergies, the sharing of resources and the new strategic partnership with Weichai, the Ferretti Group is aiming at reducing the costs and strengthening the marketing channel and the after-sales services, as well as focusing on a strategy to further expand on international and emerging markets, specifically the Asia Pacific region, a strategic area for the future growth of nautical business, where sales have increased by 30%.

In addition, having found patrimonial and financial standing, the Ferretti Group will continue to support its plans to develop in Latin America, as well as on the traditional European and United States markets, on which the Group has steadily maintained its position, and where the results achieved allow it to look ahead, confident that it will maintain its leadership, especially as regards the North American area.

Throughout the nautical year, the Ferretti Group focused on the Asia Pacific Area, by participating in the main boat shows and nautical and luxury events in Thailand, China – in Hainan, Shanghai and Qingdao – in Singapore, in South Korea and Japan, as well as Australia and India.

Moreover, the Ferretti Group keeps registering good performance in Brasil, where it has been present for over 20 years, taking pride in its leading position in the Country, and where the Ferrettigroup Brasil was official inaugurated over a year ago. On the other hand, as regards the remaining part of Latin America, the Group is carrying out a series of marketing activities with the objective of further developing the key markets such as Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, Colombia and the Dominican Republic, as well as establishing new relations with other key areas where interest in luxury yachts is strongly increasing, namely Perù, Uruguay and Argentina.

Finally, as regards North America, the first market on an international scale for the nautical sector, the Ferretti Group has continued to further reinforce its presence and to expand its distributive network. In fact, to confirm this strategy, last May, the Group started moving the Bertram Yacht productive plants from the historical premises in Miami to the modern and strategic marina on Merritt Island, in Florida, USA. The new manufacturing plants will be in an area of almost 14,000 square metres and will be absolutely in the forefront with the objective of further innovating the Bertram boat range.

Thanks to the exceptional skills of Norberto Ferretti, of Ferruccio Rossi, and all the Top Management, experts in this sector, we are sure that we will increase the synergies of our Group, through the sharing resources and industrial integration, which will allow us to further consolidate our international leading position on the nautical and luxury market of the Ferretti Group”.

“This year the Cannes Boat Show has an even greater significance for us since it has allowed us to introduce the “new” Ferretti Group to our stakeholders, in the light of the operation that took place with the Weichai Group. I strongly believe in the great importance of this strategic partnership that, despite of the situation that our Country is currently facing, has allowed us to safeguard more than 2,000 employees and the connected activities and services which are fundamental to the Italian economy, namely, that of boating.

In fact, thanks to the existing synergy with Weichai and the recovery of patrimonial solidity, our Group will be able to maintain its leadership on the markets where it is already present and to further strengthen the emerging ones” – said Ferruccio Rossi, CEO of the Ferretti Group.

“My objective is that of continuing the process that we embarked on in these years, carrying out our future plans which we can face with confidence and determination thanks to the new corporate structure, and I believe that this year, being present here with a fleet of 24 boats, 5 of which in world premiere, is undoubtedly a concrete indication of how to embark on this new challenge”.

Custom Line in Cannes with superyachts Navetta 26 Crescendo, Navetta 33 Crescendo and Custom Line 100′ on display

September 12, 2012

This year, Custom Line, part of the Ferretti Group specializing in the construction of fibreglass maxi yachts varying from 26 to 38 metres, is attending the Cannes Boat Show with 3 successful models from the Custom Line fleet 100’. At the super yacht dock of Custom Line visitors can admire the Navetta 26 Crescendo motor yacht Immagine, superyacht Navetta 33 Crescendo as well as luxury yacht Custom Line 100′.

Created from the close collaboration of Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the naval research and design centre of the Ferretti Group, and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferretti Group, the three models exhibited at Cannes perfectly represent the fundamental values of the Shipyard: quality, elegance, comfort and safety.

Navetta 26 Crescendo luxury yacht Immagine is part of the semi-displacement boats of Custom Line. The external classic lines integrate perfectly with the internal design, creating a set of sinuous solutions which make the best use of inhabitable spaces. With the term “Crescendo” the shipyard evokes the universe of classic music and enters the sphere of the high cultural level of the Made in Italy style. Craftsmanship, sophisticated harmony and refinement are the fundamental values of this model and the entire Custom Line fleet.

The Navetta 33 Crescendo superyacht is also part of the displacement category of Custom line. It was designed to be like a true “villa on the sea” with all the comfort on board. In particular, Navetta 33 Crescendo has redefined the use of spaces where contact with the sea has been enhanced with innovative solutions. The external lines integrate harmoniously with the internal spaces that can be customized according to the Owner’s choices.

Navetta 33 Crescendo yacht has a cruising speed of 15 to 16.5 knots, depending on the engine chosen. Custom Line 100′, for the first time at the Cannes Boat Show, has innovative features that have enhanced the shipyard’s planing range. Externally, its modern lines stand out giving the yacht a sporty profile without sacrificing the great comfort on board, thanks to the wide outdoor sunbathing areas.

Custom Line 100′ superyacht strikes the right balance between well-being on board and sportsmanship: although it is a boat with large dimensions, with a unique “white body” (with a full beam master suite on the main deck), its performance is still high: the two 16 V 2000 M94 engines can propel the boat at a top speed of more than 26 knots. Custom Line 100′ was awarded at the World Yachts Trophies 2011 in Cannes, winning a prestigious price of “best layout in the Flying bridge category of the over 24 metres.

Karin Paggi, Brand Manager of Custom Line, says: “The two Navette and Custom Line 100’, which we proudly present for the first time at the boat show, express the philosophy of Custom Line in the best possible way consecrating the shipyard as a true product of excellence where innovation, personalization and the attention given to our Owners, are the key features that distinguish us.”

These three models best express the distinctive features of the Custom Line maxi yachts: complete customization of all the decorative features of the boat, forefront technology, comfort on board and top safety: every model of the Custom Line that has been launched is unique.

“Crescendo” is the new evolution of Ferretti Custom Line’s semi-displacement range, and evokes the universe of classical music, entering the sphere of the highest culture of Italian-made style. Quality, artisan features, sophisticated harmony, elegance and balance are the basic values of this line of yachts.

Navetta 33 Crescendo, the natural evolution of the previous maxi yacht of the semi-displacement line, is the result of the close working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers at the Ferretti Group’s Centro Stile.

“The new Navetta 33 Crescendo model, which we will see in the water in late spring 2011, was developed according to the “slow motion” philosophy which characterises Ferretti Custom Line’s semi-displacement maxi yachts. Said yachts are designed as “villas on the sea”, developing a new concept of life on-board which features spacious areas, natural light and high levels of comfort,” comments Marco Segato, Ferretti Custom Line Brand Manager. “In particular, Navetta 33 Crescendo redefines the functional aspects of a number of different areas, in which contact with the sea is amplified through innovative solutions, maintaining a generally classical style. We have great expectations for this new model, due to the success achieved by the previous Navetta 33, a model which is very appreciated   in Italy, Europe, including Russia and Turkey, and the Americas.”

The classical external lines of the “Navetta” model blend harmoniously with the contemporary interior design which can be personalised entirely according to the owner’s choices. On Navetta 33 Crescendo, as indeed on the entire Ferretti Custom Line range, all details which are not structural like, for example, furnishings, fabrics and décor, can be customized according to Owners’ preferences. Aided by the Centro Stile architects and designers, they can develop their own, tailor-made yacht, choosing from a selection of proposals by top Italian and international companies.

The natural light which filters through the large windows illuminates the spacious interiors: Navetta 33 Crescendo stands out in this segment for her 3 full decks, which are integrated into the line of the yacht. One new feature, compared with the previous model, is a large sundeck.

Continuing towards bow, a staircase on the right connects to the upper and lower decks. The left provides access to the galley with dinette and door leading to the outside and direct access to the crew area. This has been designed in order to keep the areas where guests and crew pass completely separate.

At bow, in complete silence and total privacy, the owner area is both spacious and full of light which filters in through the large windows. The area features functional, liveable  solutions: a large walk-in closet to the right, and a work area with desk and low units on either side. The large head features a Jacuzzi and separate shower cubicle.

LOWER DECK

Going below deck, those aboard reach the lower deck lobby using the stairway located in the salon. Said stairway provides access to the guest area: four spacious cabins which mirror each other perfectly, all with double beds which can be split into twins. All cabins enjoy a view over the sea through large open-view windows and have private heads with a separate shower and walk-in closet.

UPPER DECK AND SUN DECK

The superstructures of Navetta 33 Crescendo have been completely redesigned: the upper deck has been extended and features innovative design solutions, whilst the sundeck is a completely new structure compared with the previous model, designed to multiply the spaces and place a privileged sunbathing area at guests’ disposal.

The upper deck, accessed both from the cockpit and the stairway set in the salon, is split into the helm station, living and dining areas and open-air section.

The helm station, providing extensive visibility, is organised with two control armchairs, a charting area, and a small divan with a door separating it from the guest area. Two control stations are located outside, on both sides, in order to facilitate manoeuvres.

The continuous windows of the living area on the upper deck mean it is very well-lit and features an L-shaped divan with a table for relaxing. Alternatively, it can be used as a quiet, private business area.

The great innovation of this yacht is the versatile environment of the dining area. It features a large circular table which can seat eight and a system of circular sliding doors which makes it either part of the living area (by closing the windows towards stern), or the external area (closing the doors towards bow).

The external upper deck can house a conversation area with divans or can be personalised with freestanding furnishings according to the owner’s wishes. Astern there is a space for the tender or jet skis, complete with davit. The portuguese deck enables those aboard to access the sun pad located in the deckhouse, whilst another sundeck is positioned at bow on the main deck.

A convenient stairway positioned on the left, astern on the upper deck, provides access to the sundeck. This area offers complete privacy for sun lovers and features a large sundeck, circular jacuzzi on the owner’s request, bar unit and grill, as well as a versatile area astern which can be set up as another sundeck or possibly a space for housing other water toys.

The stern hatch provides access to the garage which can house a tender or jet ski and be loaded into the garage using a davit set on the flybridge. Once opened, thanks to the teak cladding, it turns into a platform which facilitates descent into the sea. A second tender can be housed astern on the upper deck.

INSTRUMENTATION AND ENGINES

Navetta 33 Crescendo responds to the increasing demand for on-board infotainment, featuring Seamphony’s Audio-Video Media Server entertainment system, with a  broadband web connection module. Moreover, the yacht features innovative instrumentation which includes the new Furla.net control system with which users can monitor and manage utilities, services and alarms simply and immediately using a touch screen. This solution makes it even easier for the crew to access on-board systems, increasing comfort and safety.

Three Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilisers, supplied as standard on Ferretti Custom Line maxi yachts, reduce yacht rolling by over 50%.

Navetta 33 Crescendo features twin 1400 Mhp MAN V 12 engines or twin 1550 Mhp MAN V12 engines on request. Larger engines make it possible to reach a top speed of 20 knots and a cruise speed of 16.5 (preliminary data).
