Designed by Alberto Mancini and launched in April, the Mangusta 42 represents Overmarine‘s continued commitment to performance and unparalleled comfort. Among the amenities is a bow swimming pool with an infinity-effect waterfall, with two separate sunpads that dip down towards the waterline.  The glazed bottom of the pool forms the skylight to the Master suite below for optimal illumination that adds a beautiful dappled effect to the interior.

Appearance-wise, floor-to-ceiling windows run the length of the port and starboard sides to create a fluid appearance on both the main deck and the upper deck. As a result, the main salon and skylounge both receive plenty of natural light during the day and guests have uninterrupted views of their destination.

The Mangusta 42 has a range of 4,500 nautical miles when cruising at 11 knots and she has reduced noise and vibrations for a quiet night’s rest for all guests.

Hull number 11, as a new addition to the fleet, has some great features of the previous models but is being characterised as more aggressive with masculine lines and innovative technical solutions. In fact, thanks to her 4 2600 hp MTU M94 engines, 4 Rolls Royce/KametaWa NP water jets and 4 Seakeeper stabilisers, she shows an outstanding performance but lower consumption. Mangusta 165 E Hull 11 breaks stereotypes that fast yachts are unstable, as the stabilisation system here is so effective that it offers displacement mode usage at a minimum speed of 8-10 knots with great comfort for those on board.

June 11, 2016

Written by Rachael Steele

On the 4th of June Mangusta launched its first steel and aluminium Oceano 42 motor yacht as part of its Long Range line. Built in Overmarine Group’s new shipyard in Pisa, Oceano 42 was a significant launch which was attended by the owner and his family, the Mayor of Pisa and Mayor of Viareggio, designer Alberto Mancini, the Balducci family and the entire Overmarine Group company.

Overmarine Group’s CEO Maurizio Balducci stated that this was an important moment for the corporation, as “this is the company’s very first three deck displacement ship. She is also the first to be built in metal, and the first to be constructed here at our Pisa shipyard.”

The Darsena Pisena (Pisa wet dock) required a significant overhaul in infrastructure and the newly built facilities comprise an area of 22000m₂, 9000m₂ of which is covered.

Designed by Alberto Mancini, the Mangusta Oceano 42 comprises sleek contours complimented by sharp lines in a perfect gloss finish. The luxury yacht also possesses a number of features unique to its size: two bathing areas encompass a swimming pool with an infinity waterfall, and the semi-transparent pool floor allows for greater light penetration into the main suite on the deck below.

The sleek superyacht comfortably accommodates 12 guests and seven crew members through optimal space efficiency, allowing for freedom of movement in her relaxing and modern environment.

Mangusta Oceano 42 will be presented in the upcoming boat shows this autumn.

Today, February 9, 2016 saw Overmarine Mangusta proudly announce the sale of the 12th Mangusta 165 superyacht. She is a fast, highly unique and comfortable 50-metre vessel, due to be delivered to her European Owner in 2017.

Francesco Frediani, Group Commercial Director, said: “Over the past few years we have established ourselves more and more as a leader in our sector, namely that of large, open semi-custom yachts. Our Clients tell us this, as they continue to choose our models, as does the market which values our professionalism and understands our quality and the technical choices we make, acknowledging us a leader. The excellent reputation we enjoy today also tells us this, the same reputation the Balducci family, sole owner of the Overmarine Group, has been building up over the years. Mangusta 165 has undoubtedly contributed to this result, turning the Mangusta brand into an out and out icon.”

Mangusta 165 E hull number 12, in which E stands for Evolution, boasts all recent style and technical innovations. She has more muscular, aggressive lines, a single window at the height of the salon which provides fantastic visibility from the inside letting in plenty of natural light, as well as a longer flybridge with an aesthetic grill astern which gives the yacht an even greater dynamic boost.

The vessel offers a better performance and greater yield, thanks to propulsion package which provides for 4×2600 HP MTU 16V2000 M94 engines, 4 Rolls Royce/Kamewa NP waterjets and 4 Seakeeper stabilisers, resulting in a better weight/power ratio, modular functionality on demand, optimised spaces in the engine room and greater efficiency. The performance is similar to that of the past, but consumption is notably lower. The effectiveness of the stabilisation system is so great during cruising too that the yacht can be used in displacement mode at a minimum speed of 8-10 knots and in total comfort at all times. This significantly expands the range of speeds at which she can be used.

Mangusta 165 E also hosts a range of new technological gadgets onboard like the dynamic positioning, which makes it possible to keep the yacht still in a selected GPS position without dropping anchor. This is achieved by acting on the effect of the tide, the wind and the current simply by combining direction and propulsion.

Boasting an elegant, timeless design and racy, sporty lines of all Mangusta yachts, the Mangusta 132 bears such aesthetic and structural changes as the new generation of glazing, a single panel of glass at the height of the salon which offers fantastic visibility from inside and lets in great amount of natural light. Furthermore, the vessel hosts a generous flybridge, featuring a dynamic, modern line, with aesthetic rear grills, which can also be fitted with a second helm. It lends itself to being used as a private area for the Owner where to both relax fully and enjoy the thrilling experience of cruising at high speeds.

Moreover, the onboard comfort has been notably improved through the use of gyroscopic stabilisers which make it possible to reduce rolling both at anchor and underway. Consumption has also been remarkably reduced thanks to the new generation driving package mixed up with the evolution of the lines of the hull.

“2015 was an incredibly challenging and exciting year for the Group,” commented Francesco Frediani, Group Commercial Director, “and we’re confident this positive trend we’re experiencing will also continue in the future. This new sale has shown us that the market understands and appreciates the continuous research we’ve carried out and our innovation, which focus, from the quality point of view, on guaranteeing excellence and wellbeing on board and, from the technical point of view, on a specific attention to both limiting consumption and yacht stability at anchor and underway.”
