Ferretti Group’s continuous approach to innovation and research, along with constant improvement in the performance and design of its products, leads the Company towards the highest industrial benchmarks and development of cutting-edge solutions. The design of Ferretti Yachts 690, Ferretti Custom Line Navetta 26 Crescendo and Riva Iseo represents a superb blend of timeless appeal and creative excellence.

“Hong Kong is extremely important for the Ferretti Group in Asia Pacific. It still has huge potential, even if the lack of berths affects the general market situation slightly, since the wealth is widespread and people desire to own a yacht”, commented Stefano de Vivo, Chief Commercial Officer of Ferretti Group. “The Ferretti Group has gained a very good reputation in the past years, thanks to the opening of its Hong Kong subsidiary. And we’re proud to announce that in the last weeks, two new yachts landed in Hong Kong: Custom Line Navetta 33 Crescendo and Ferretti Yachts 650. Being both Asia Pacific premières, we look forward to displaying them soon in 2015.”

The three vessels on display included:

Ferretti Yacht 690, the outcome of the cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project and AYT&D, the Group Research and Development Department, marks an important step forward for the Ferretti Yachts fleet of crafts between 60 and 80 feet in length. The extensive use of glazed surfaces, in particular, makes the yacht’s exterior look lighter and ensures that plenty of natural light can brighten its interiors. Its sleek outer lines are further enhanced by the innovative flybridge, characterised by an elongated tail.

Navetta 26 Crescendo, a 26-metre long yacht, is one of the most celebrated models of Custom Line’s semi-displacement series. The unique design features soft-cut classical lines and innovative design solutions that have been sophisticatedly weaved into the nautical brand to increase on-board space. With a spacious sun deck and extended ports on the main and upper deck, this ocean voyager also offers the enjoyment of viewing while staying true to the focus on leisurely cruising.

The Ferretti Group fleet also features Riva Iseo, the 27-foot day-cruiser destined as a must-have for lovers of design and boating on lakes as well as in the open seas. Iseo is an owner-operated vessel with distinct characteristics, elegant features and ease of transportation. Perfection and style have made Riva a true icon of timeless glamour and elegance worldwide, since more than 170 years. Soft, clean-cut lines, thorough space-planning, careful and indeed unique attention to detail along with the use of highly sophisticated materials are the distinctive characteristics that make Iseo a noble heiress to a centuries-old history of excellence and craftsmanship.

Shipment of the biggest yacht handled in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam managed by Complete Marine Freight

November 24, 2014

Complete Marine Freight’s Asia division has continued to pick up pace since its opening in Hong Kong in June 2014. The boat shipping specialist has proudly announced that it has been a very busy month, with a variety of jobs, comprising a new motoryacht to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and the shipping of the 33m Ferretti superyacht Navetta 33 Crescendo from Genoa, Italy to Hong Kong.

Last month, Complete Marine Freight (CMF) was tasked with the shipping of a 50’ motorboat to Vietnam – The largest boat handled at the Ho Chi Minh container terminal to date. The boat was shipped on a liner service from the UK where it was loaded under the supervision of the CMF UK team.

The arrival in Ho Chi Minh was on time to the day, which is impressive given the fact that it was a 5-week voyage. The boat was shipped on a purpose built shipping cradle provided by CMF, this stayed with the yacht after it had arrived in Vietnam allowing for storage of the boat in the future. The boat was then transported by barge up the river to Saigon (HCM). The offloading was attended by CMF HK to ensure handling was carried out in the correct manner.

The same week saw the arrival of a brand new 33m Ferretti Navetta yacht from Genoa, Italy to Hong Kong arranged by CMF working closely with the leading Italian yacht shipping company – Cigisped. Due to its size, the Navetta was transported on a self-geared vessel with cranes capable of handling up to 600 Tonnes. CMF also arranged to have the boat protected by a system using partial covering by thermoplastic. This is more reliable than a full shipping cover, which on a large yacht loaded on deck, can be prone to failure.

The yacht arrived safe and sound in HK and was offloaded at anchor. CMF also arranged the customs clearance and paperwork on loading and discharge to ensure a seamless service.

Complete Marine Freight Sales Director and Head of CMF HK, Charles Massey comments: “Most of the shipments CMF carry out are done on container ships – a liner service. This gives customers a fast and accurate and regular schedule allowing them to plan the arrival rather than waiting to hear when it will eventually turn up. However, a 33m, 120000Kgs yacht is too big to load on most container ships (mainly due to the capacity of the cranes at the load and discharge port). In this case rather than chartering a heavy lift ship to carry the yacht CMF were able to load on a self geared liner service therefore keeping the regular and reliable service to the customer. In the last year CMF have delivered a number of 30M+ yachts to Hong Kong and we will be adding a few more to the list in the not so distant future.”

First edition of the Ferretti Group’s Service University

July 10, 2014

The first edition of the Service University, representing the Ferretti Group‘s professional training and refresher courses school, has recently come to its end. It was held in the Asian Pacific region, and targeted at all the Group’s official service network operators in this region.

Ferretti Group’s Service University

Ferretti Group’s Service University

For over 25 years Ferretti Group has been organizing training meetings for its Dealers and Service Points, so as to guarantee top-notch services to its Customers all over the world. Besides the traditional sessions normally held in Europe and the editions held in Italy specifically for operators from the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and the AMERICAS, since 2010 on-site activities have been intensified in these two important areas too.

This year, for the first time ever, the Service University was held in Asia, gathering in Hong Kong more than 30 participants from all over the Asia Pacific region (China, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, India, etc.).

This is a very significant event, one year after the new office in Hong Kong was opened, because it once more bears witness to Ferretti Group’s strategy to increasingly meet the needs of individual markets, focusing on their specific features and requirements. “This edition of the Service University, held in Asia, is part of a wider project, launched several years ago and constantly evolving, aimed at always moving closer and closer to the markets where we are present, and to our Customers. I was delighted to see so many professionals from the yachting sector participate in the event – both historical ones and others that have only recently joined the large Ferretti Group family” - commented Ferretti Group’s CEO, Mr Alberto Galassi.

The training, organised by the Group’s After Sales & Service team, took place over five days and included both theoretical and practical sessions. Several on board system specialists, including representatives from MAN Engines, NAVIOP, TWIN DISC, IDROMAR, and CONDARIA, held outstanding lessons. In some cases bench tests were also performed in the classrooms, allowing the participants to take part in practical troubleshooting activities.

During the training week, specific boat usage and maintenance issues were dealt with – also thanks to the cooperation of Antonio Campagnuolo, Ferretti Group Product Management Officer -, providing details on the various systems, the new features, and the usage requirements of the most recent models built by the Group, particularly Ferretti Yachts 960, Ferretti Yachts 690, Ferretti Yachts 750, Pershing 62, Riva 86′ superyacht Domino, and Riva 122′ Mythos yacht SOL.

All participants expressed their great appreciation for the courses, at the end of which they received an attendance certificate.

As usual, this annual training will be joined by already-scheduled visits to the various dealers and service points, so as to perform on-the-job training activities on board the yachts.
