Ferretti Group launched the first motor yacht Ferretti 870

June 06, 2012

The newest member of the Ferretti Yachts fleet, the first motor yacht Ferretti 870 was successfully launched by Ferretti Group in the fabulous Marina di Cattolica yesterday. The new Ferretti 870 superyacht is the result of months and months of hard work: from engineering to design, from the manufacturing stage to the best care dedicated to the tiniest finishing details.

Over the next few weeks and until the end of June, the luxury yacht Ferretti 870 will undergo all necessary technical checks – RINA tests, prototype sea trials, the verification of systems and appliances – and onboard furnishings will be completed. The yacht will then be officially delivered to a European owner.

Like all other yachts in the range, the superyacht Ferretti 870 – which will be presented as a world premiere at Cannes Boat Show from 11th to 16th September 2012 – is the result of the close cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project, AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology (Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre), and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. This craft has been entirely built in the Group’s Cattolica production unit. With its considerable size – an overall length of 26.5 metres, a 6 metre-beam, and a full load displacement of 80 tons – the Ferretti 870 model further extends and renovates Ferretti Yachts’ “big boats” fleet.

“We are extremely proud of this new launch – commented Ferretti Yachts Brand Manager Alessandro Tirelli -, which is the first opportunity to admire the impressive work performed at our boatyard over the last few months. The Ferretti 870 stands out for its great focus on onboard comfort and wellbeing through brilliant, innovative interior design solutions, but also for its outstanding performances, extraordinary onboard noiselessness and the unique privacy it ensures. We are really looking forward to presenting it as an absolute premiere at the September and October boat shows.”

While preserving some features of her predecessor – the Ferretti 830 yacht – the new Ferretti 870 yacht is characterised by a series of innovative solutions already widely appreciated on the brand’s most recent models: the bronze dome over the navigation bridge, also found on the Ferretti 800, further highlights the craft’s sporty look, while the large glazing on the main deck results in very slender lines and extremely bright interiors. In the hull, the two large open-view windows at the height of the master stateroom have now been joined by the opening portholes of the guest cabins and by the double window of the forward VIP cabin.

Extensive, spacious areas go hand in hand with great performances on the Ferretti 870 yacht: during the first medium load trial carried out by the prototype testing team, the Ferretti 870 reached a maximum speed of 32 knots, driven by the two MTU 12 V 2000 M94, 1948 mph engines; such an impressive propulsion, though, perfectly blends with the utmost comfort ensured by the Mitsubishi Anti Rolling Gyro system, which reduces rolling by more than 50%.

The elegance contest will be judged by an authoritative and international panel, which will vote for the craft which will have interpreted the slogan “Be Beautiful such as your Aquarama” in the best way.

“This year celebrations will not end with the 170th anniversary of Riva and with Riva 63’ Virtus yacht, the latest pearl of the range. They will continue with the 50th anniversary of Aquarama, another masterpiece, defined at that time as ‘a precious mahogany sculpture’, the symbol of the shipyard and of the brand Riva around the world” – states Norberto Ferretti, founder and Chairman of the Ferretti Group. “We will celebrate this occasion with all Riva Owners, paying a tribute to the Italian style which is much admired all over the world, and which is embedded in our unique crafts, which can be considered the jewels of the nautical sector”.

Riva 63’ Virtus
Riva gives a new meaning to the ‘open’ concept, with a typically Mediterranean style craft, maintaining the unique elegance of all its models: class, flair and clean shapes. It has been designed following the lines of the Vertigo yacht, a successful and classic model by Riva.

63’ Virtus yacht shares the strong attitude of the Rivale, another open model which has made the history of the shipyard, but it features wider spaces, with a higher liveableness and the utmost comfort on board.

Riva yacht Virtus is the result of the collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the team which is in charge of the design of all the models of the Riva range, AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre, and the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, a skilful team of architects and designers. This new model has been thought as a craft featuring sporty characteristics, designed for owners willing to enjoy a direct sea experience.

In the presence of the ship owner’s family and the top management, the launching ceremony, strictly organized in private, was held at the shipyard of the Group in Ancona with a traditional baptism during which a bottle of champagne was shattered on the keel.

The Ferretti Custom Line 124’ superyacht, which is 37,80 metres long and 7,35 metres wide, is the biggest vessel ever manufactured by the Ferretti Custom Line. The new flagship of the planing line, developed by Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the naval research and design centre of the Ferretti Group and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile of the Ferretti Group, who worked in close collaboration. Ferretti Custom Line 124’ combines the experience in design and manufacturing, owned by shipyard, together with a look towards the future and it brings elegance, performance and highly innovative solutions harmoniously together on vessels of this size.

On the outside, the luxury yacht Custom Line 124’ features elegant lines, wide open spaces and large windows forming an exclusive terrace overlooking the sea. Inside, prestigious materials combine to form a customized mix based on the ship owners’ desires: a villa overlooking the sea with a master suite on the main deck and 4 guest cabins.

In addition, the 124’ yacht is equipped with latest domotics and entertainment systems, guaranteeing a unique experience on board. Her performance, provided by two MTU motors of 3510 mhp which allow her to reach a maximum speed of 27 knots, is of absolute value.

Not least, the latest solutions were used for on board comfort and the safety, for example the Furla.Net monitoring and boat control and the four Mitsubishi ARG stabilizers (Anti Rolling Gyro), which are exclusively installed on many of the Ferretti Group boats on the international market and which are capable of reducing the rolling of a vessel by 50%.

Lamberto Tacoli, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of the Ferretti Group, commented, “I am always touched by the launching of the flagship of the Custom Line. 124’ is the top of the range for the Shipyard: a product of excellence in which innovation, personalization and technology are the key elements of this model but also of the entire Ferretti Custom Line brand.”

Karin Paggi, Brand Manager of the Ferretti Custom Line commented, “Custom Line 124’ is the top of the range for the brand, a product of excellence in which innovation and customization are the key elements of this model and the entire range. The flagship perfectly combines design, performance and comfort, offering ship owner absolute excellence in terms of elegance, performance and customization.”

New Riva 63´ Virtus Yacht: The Biggest Riva Open is Born

February 03, 2012

Riva, iconic Ferretti Group brand, presents the birth of the new flagship of their open line, featuring racy exteriors with a strong personality, the Riva 63′ Virtus yacht. The luxury yacht Riva 63´ Virtus is the largest open boat created by the shipyard, represented by an unmistakable style and a distinctly Mediterranean character.

New Riva 63´ Virtus Yacht The Biggest Riva Open is Born

New Riva 63´ Virtus Yacht The Biggest Riva Open is Born

The new yacht Riva 63′ Virtus is the product of a close working relationship between Officina Italiana Design, the studio that exclusively designs all yachts in the Riva range, the AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Group’s naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers at Centro Stile Ferrettigroup. The new model has been designed as a sporty yacht, created for owners wishing to experience the sea first hand.

Riva reinterprets the concept of an open yacht with a model featuring a typical Mediterranean style which maintains the unmistakable elegance of all the shipyard’s models: class, refinement and clean lines. These are also found in and on the new Riva 63′ Virtus yacht, flagship of the Riva opens, a model designed to last.

Created following the lines of the 63′ Vertigo yacht, a classical, highly successful Riva model, Virtus recaptures the strong character of the Rivale, another Riva open boat which has marked the shipyard’s history, but uses larger spaces which guarantee excellent liveability and total on-board comfort.

The exteriors feature spacious areas which enable owners to enjoy the Riva 63´ Virtus yacht in the company of their guests, also thanks to two large sundecks, one at bow and one astern, under which the garage for the tender is located. This sociable aspect of the boat is also extended to the helm area, where the driving seat consists of a three seater sofa, enabling owners to share the pleasure of driving the yacht with their guests.

Moreover, it is protected by a large windshield with a double curve which ensures comfort while cruising. The cockpit is spacious, comfortable and equipped with a fridge, sink and – upon request – a grill. In the cockpit there are three sofas, one of which L-shaped, located on the port hand side, one astern and a third equipped with a system which slides and enables to move closer to the varnished teak table which has a flip up section. Moreover, the cockpit is covered with a large, electro-hydraulically operated bimini which can also be kept open whilst running.

Typical of Riva, the class and attention to fine detail is evident in the cleats and in the electric winches skilfully concealed to ensure aesthetic fluidity. Painstaking attention has also been paid to creating the functional, well-designed instrument mast in line with the style of all Riva open models.

The interior fittings have been studied in such a way as to attain the very best availability in terms of space and comfort, with a large salon which makes it possible to place a wooden table, able to accomodate up to six in this area, without having to reduce the size of the galley.

Riva 63′ Virtus is a yacht featuring contrasts of colour and materials: the alternation between the light shades of the oak and darker ones of the leather, and between the opaque and polished lacquering create a style which gives the new Riva 63′ Virtus a further touch of modern style without forgetting the traditional elegance of all Riva yachts.

The master cabin is located portside astern and set slightly lower than the other two, and has been enriched with a bed run around in leather stitching. The slightly lower position of the cabin makes it possible to use all the space available. The guest cabin, also located port-side midships, features bunk beds, set out in an L-shape which offer a pleasant panoramic view of the surface of the water. The master and VIP cabins, set at bow, both feature en-suite heads, whilst the day head is located opposite the guest cabin.

The harmonious profile and racy lines of the yacht are further emphasised by the large arrow-shaped side windows, which have made so many other Riva models successful and guarantee excellent natural lighting below deck. The unusual features of the hull and teak of the deck and part of the cockpit, together with the many details in stainless steel, contribute to making the yacht 63′ Virtus both modern and sporty.

TECHNOLOGY AND PERFORMANCE

The new Riva 63′ Virtus is also on the cutting-edge for her on-board technological equipment. Featuring twin 1360mhp MAN 12V engines, 1000 kW at 2300 rpm/min, the new yacht Riva 63′ VIRTUS delivers an excellent performance, with a top speed of 40 knots and a cruise speed of 35 thanks to the tried and tested hull equipped with direct shaft line tunnel propulsion. Her ease of handling and smoothness over the waves are also excellent for this category.

Ferretti 690 motor yacht project – 360° of Innovation

September 26, 2011

The new Ferretti 690 motor yacht project is the newest motor yacht to come from Ferretti Yachts, one of the icons of Made in Italy luxury products worldwide and historic brand of the Ferretti Group. The Ferretti 690 project is yet another outstanding result of the working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project, AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the Group’s naval research and design centre of the Group, and the team of skilled architects and designers at Centro Stile Ferrettigroup, who continuously research aesthetic, functional and innovative solutions for luxury motor yachts.

The Ferretti 690 motor yacht will be presented during Spring 2012. The yacht is a further step forward of the Ferretti Yachts fleet, characterized by the new design of outer lines, which are now sportier, with a sleeker and more dynamic profile. The wider glazing of the Ferretti 690 makes exteriors lighter and provides an amazing quantity of natural light to interior spaces.

Studio Zuccon International Project has designed the superstructure and the interiors of the Ferretti 690 model, featuring an extremely catching yacht, a continuous glazing from stern to bow, with increased height in the central part, reaching the gunwale. Large windows lighting up the VIP fore cabin and the guest cabins have been added to the large open view glazing in the central part of the hull, where the Owner cabin is located. The sleek outer lines have been further enhanced by the flybridge, which features an elongated tail with the new small roll bar and the SAT domes recessed lodging, that accommodates the base of the SAT antennas, providing to minimize the aestethic effect of the domes on the profile.

“The Ferretti 690 is the most innovative project under 70 feet ever designed by Ferretti Yachts. This is another step forward in the renewal process of our range” – declared Alessandro Tirelli, Ferretti Yachts Brand Manager. “Ferretti 690 gets to the market as a sporty yacht, though being characterized by a deep family feeling, in line with the most recent models of the brand, which match the classic-contemporary style of Ferretti Yachts with the modern flair of interiors, featuring highly functional spaces, and an impressive external look. Ferretti 690 proudly follows in the way of 660, the evolution of Ferretti 631. These models are the symbols of Ferretti Yachts successful range of small crafts. We decided to renew the outer look of the craft and further improve the typical internal layout with an aft galley on the main deck and a full beam owner cabin underdeck, with two available interior layouts, with three or four cabins.

This choice will allow us to better match the demands of the Owners, who can now choose either the catchy three double cabin version, with large private heads, or the four cabin version, designed to cope with the needs of those customers who will appreciate the functionality of four comfortable cabins in a craft under 70 feet”.

The interiors of the Ferretti 690 Project which are approximately 21 metres long and 5.5 metres wide  are spacious and wisely organized, in order to exploit living areas at their best in both layouts. Volumes are notably enlarged by the natural light coming in from the wide windows. The interiors are furnished with a warm grey oak, which can be matched, upon request, with the parquet floor on the main deck and underdeck (carpet floor is available as standard).

The cockpit features interesting innovations, some of which had already been adopted by the latest models of the brand. As in the case of the 620, the Ferretti 690 tender davit is not integrated in the gangway. It has been lodged in a dedicated housing, behind a spacious aft bench. This relevant upgrade optimizes the use of spaces, just like the shifting of the retractable passage gangway to the left. These changes allowed adding a large teak eight/ten-seat table. The gangway itself is a further innovation, even compared to the 620. The new retractable version makes the exterior profile of the yacht far more elegant.

The Ferretti 690 yacht features another absolute innovation at the stern, which will meet the taste of those owners looking for functionality matched with more “entertaining” aspects of the life on board. It is a tilting support in the swim platform, which can be lowered to create a surface below the water. This solution will allow “standing” on the water or comfortably seating in the middle of the sea. Launching the tender will also be easier by lowering the platform. This solution also allows lodging a larger tender on board.

A sliding glass door allows entering the saloon directly from the cockpit, leaving space to the left to a comfortable bar unit, which can be equipped with an icemaker, just close to the galley, which can be accessed through a tilting hatch. This solution, which characterises Ferretti Yachts crafts under 70 feet and which has already been used in the opposite position on the Ferretti 620, makes life on board more comfortable and convivial. The crew area can be accessed from the right hand side of the cockpit, with a bunk bed cabin and a private head.

The main deck, which is almost identical in the two layouts, with the exception of the access stairway to the lower deck, features a rational distribution of spaces. The galley is located portside, just after the entrance. Its elegant lines make it incredibly wider compared to the previous Ferretti 660. A vertically sliding glass partition allows separating this area from the rest of the saloon or leaving it open, turning the main deck into a large open space. In front of the galley there is a functional cabinet, reaching the height of the sofa, which can be equipped with an optional bottle fridge.

The dining area and the sofa are located in the central part of the deck, enjoying wider spaces and featuring the utmost comfort for the guests. The sofas and the tea table are located starboard, in front of the glass table, which can host up to six/eight people. The TV set has a highly functional position, on the oblique wall of the galley, thus being perfectly visible from both the dining table and the sofa.

The helm station is located to the right hand side, with a direct access to the outdoor areas through a door along the starboard passage. This solution is usually featured by larger vessels. The shift of the helm station to the right, compared to the previous model, has been studied to increase the flexibility of the fore portside area, where, according to the layout chosen by the Owner, the stairs leading under deck can be located against the wall – in the three cabin model – or in a more central position – in the four cabin one – leaving space for a deck to the left.

The layout of the lower deck confirms the versatility of the Ferretti 690 Project. The two options did not change the layout of the Owner and of the VIP cabins, since they are based on a different position of the stairs leading underdeck and on a different design of the lobby, of the guest cabins, and of the heads amidships. Each cabin is equipped with wide windows with porthole, to light up the room. The interior fitting is the result of a painstaking design, leather is the protagonist of all cabin furnishings. This material has been chosen for furniture tops and doors. The heads feature identical solutions, like the suspended washbasins and the accessories by Capannoli.

The full-beam owner cabin is located amidships and is now even more functional and spacious, thanks to extensive changes in the furniture arrangement and the layout. The open view windows located on both sides feature opening portholes ensuring better air circulation and an incredible brightness. The decision to place the bathroom – with separate shower – and the large walk-in wardrobe towards the stern, behind the bed, increases the Owners’ privacy and the distance between this cabin and the engine room, which are now separated by the cabin’s head, the sailor’s cabin and the tank, a solution which also results in improved noiselessness. The cabin’s furniture is completed by a chest of drawers and a vanity unit on one side and a sofa with cabinets on the other.

Ferretti 690 motor yacht Cabin - Credit Ferretti Yachts

Moving forward, the VIP cabin is located at the extreme bow and benefits from two large side windows with portholes. In the three-cabin layout, the VIP cabin also features a bathroom with separate shower. The same solution, in this version, can be found in the guest cabin – with double bed convertible into two twin beds – which is lit by a window with two portholes. The three-cabin version features a spacious lobby with glazing and two portholes on the port side, while in the four-cabin version a central corridor with two steps leads to the aft Owner cabin and two side doors give access to the large twin guest cabins.

The flybridge of the Ferretti 690 project has been extensively renewed and bears witness to Ferretti’s great care for indoor and outdoor layout optimisation. Only the bar unit located near the access staircase has been maintained from previous models; everything else has been entirely redesigned so as to ensure all guests the utmost comfort. On the right hand side, behind the second helm station, stands a large C-shaped sofa with a tea table. The seat exploits all the space available up to the stern and allows to place a co-pilot sofa at the bow, on the left, and a really spacious sun pad beyond the helm station. This solution was achieved also by eliminating the stairs leading from the saloon to the flybridge, which are very rarely used on crafts of this size, and by adding a functional hatch. An additional large sunbathing area is located at the extreme bow.

Last-generation engines have been selected for this new project. The Ferretti 690 will be equipped with two MAN 8V, 1000 mph in the standard version, 1200 mph as an option. When fitted with the standard engines, this yacht will reach a maximum speed of 28.5 knots (with a range of 285 nautical miles) and a cruising speed of 25 knot (in this case the range increases to 300 nautical miles). When the optional engines are installed, the maximum speed will be 31.5 knots (with a range of 250 nautical miles), the cruising speed 27 knots (range – 285 nautical miles) (preliminary data). The new set of more compact engines will also allow to save space in the engine room, where a second optional genset can therefore be installed, making the Ferretti 690 yacht’s technical features comparable to those found on much larger yachts.

New Ferretti 870 motor yacht project

September 26, 2011

Ferretti Yachts’ range of great boats expands further with the new Ferretti 870 motor yacht project which offers comfort, sporty features and larger onboard available space.  With an overall-length of over 26.5 metres the Ferretti 870 motor yacht allows guests to fully enjoy the spaciousness of a great Ferretti motor yacht in spite of a hull below 24 metres. The new Ferretti 870 Project is  available in the standard roll bar version or with an optional hard top. The new Ferretti 870 yacht Project is a new, important accomplishment by Ferretti Yachts in the large yachts segment.

The Ferretti 870 motor yacht will be presented for the first time during Spring 2012.  The motor yacht project Ferretti 870 is yet another outstanding result of the close cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project, AYT – Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre, and the team of architects and designers of the Centro Stile Ferretti Group.

While preserving some of the main features that turned the Ferretti 830 motor yacht into the most successful model in the Ferretti Yachts range, the Ferretti 870 motor yacht Project also features some innovative design solutions already found on the Ferretti 800 yacht, thus following in the wake of one of the shipyard’s most largely appreciated recent models.

Ferretti 830 motor yacht

Ferretti 830 motor yacht

The new Ferretti 870 motor yacht project is characterised by a bronze top above the helm station and by large windows both on the main deck and in the hull. The hull in particular features not only two large open view windows at the master cabin’s level, but also large opening portholes in the guest cabins and two windows in the fore VIP cabin, resulting in extraordinary indoor brightness and offering wonderful views.

The glazing on the main deck of the Ferretti 870 has been enlarged compared to the Ferretti 830 model and is now higher and longer, thanks to the lower gunwale amidships: a solution normally found on much larger yachts, which further increases visibility from the inside. Indeed, the glazing now reaches the stern, resulting in more continuous, harmonious lines and in a sleeker, longer profile. The yacht’s outer look is thus characterised by outstanding lightness, elegance and aggressiveness, also thanks to another distinctive feature of several Ferretti models: the three “shark branchiae” windows separating the saloon’s glazing from the helm station’s one.

“This new project is a significant step forward in the large boats range – explains Alessandro Tirelli, Ferretti Yachts’ Brand Manager. On the Ferretti 870 we have kept unchanged all the strengths of its predecessor, particularly the rational space arrangement. The exterior design has been improved considerably, drawing inspiration from the brand’s most recent models and by exploiting the longer superstructure to the fullest – a solution which has also allowed us to radically modify the interior layout, to the benefit of onboard space and comfort. All guests can now enjoy some innovative, brilliant layout solutions on this over-26-metre craft ensuring outstanding performances, noiseless cruising and the utmost privacy”.

On the yachts interior, the Ferretti 870 Project is characterised by refined walnut stained natural oak wood, which can also be found in the furniture’s doors and drawers featuring lacquered tops and frames. Below deck, wood is combined with leather, which has been used to furnish all cabins.

The increased length of the new Ferretti 870 vessel can be immediately perceived in the cockpit, which is so wide it can really be considered as an outdoor lounge where time can be pleasantly spent in good company: indeed, the teak table seating six/eight people has been joined on this boat by a functional bar unit on the port side, beside the glazed door leading to the saloon.

On the main deck, the living area, the dining area, the galley and the helm station have been effectively separated from one another: the latter two are located at bow, completely divided from the rest of the boat. The wide saloon features a large L-shaped sofa on the left hand side, as well as a comfortable armchair and a smoke-shade lacquered table. On the right there are two more armchairs separated by a cabinet and, behind them, a hiding TV set.

Continuing towards the bow, the glass dining table standing on the left can comfortably seat eight people; on the right hand side, a functional cupboard can be found just under the indoor staircase giving access to the flybridge. Another small cabinet behind the sofa and next to the table provides more storage space.

The central part of the Ferretti 870 deck has been redesigned by introducing some brilliant solutions that optimise the interior layout, ensuring improved liveability and increased comfort and privacy for guests. A real lobby has indeed been obtained, from which a step and a door lead to the bow area. A sliding door on the port side provides access to the galley, while the day toilet and the stairs leading below deck can be found along the right wall.

The galley and the helm station have been extensively modified too. The pilot house, featuring a new design, is now located on the right, a solution which provides easier access to the galley. On the left, a comfortable dinette with an L-shaped sofa and a chart-table allow the owner to actively share the course with the helmsman. A door located behind the dinette leads to the galley, signed by Ernestomeda. The galley can also be reached from the outside, thanks to a door along the port side deck which can be used by the crew in order not to cross the saloon.

On the lower deck too the new project makes the best of this vessel’s increased volumes, mainly to the benefit of the interior layout, also thanks to the shifting of all guest cabins towards the larger and therefore more comfortable stern area. This solution has not required any changes to the engine room, the crew quarters and the garage, but definitely results in a wider master stateroom and a larger port guest cabin. Similarly to the Ferretti 800, the Ferretti 870 Project features three double cabins (in the guest cabin the beds can be separated), plus a fourth cabin with twin beds. All cabins have their own en-suite head and separate shower box.

The master cabin on the Ferretti 870 Project motor yacht has been entirely redesigned and repositioned and is now a true full-beam cabin, incredibly bright thanks to the double glazing with portholes and finely furnished with a sofa standing along the entire length of the glazing and a sliding table. A vanity unit is located under the opposite glazing. All pieces of furniture have walnut stained oak wood doors and drawers, and lacquered tops and frames. More in general, the lower deck decor makes an extensive use of wood and leather for beds and headboards. The master bathroom features two Corian washbasins supported by a marble top. Access to the shower is gained through a glass door, while the sanitary ware area is separated from the rest of the bathroom by a sliding door.

The position of the head and the walk-in wardrobe, behind the bed, considerably increases noiselessness, since the cabin is now separated from the engine room by these rooms, a soundproof partition and the tanks. Moreover, to ensure improved comfort and privacy, the crew quarters have been located aft, beyond the engine room, which the sailor can now also access directly.

The guest cabins have also been considerably improved, resulting in increased available space and larger glazing which ensures an incredible brightness. The fore VIP cabin has two windows with a porthole, under one of which – on the starboard side – stands a comfortable sofa. This cabin too stands out for its wooden surfaces and leather headboard and ceiling wings. A vanity unit is located against the port wall. The guest cabins are extremely bright too, thanks to a large glazing with two portholes.

As regards performances, the new Ferretti 870 Project is equipped with two 12V 2000 M94 MTU engines having a power of 1948 mph at 2450 rev/min. and allowing it to reach a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 30.5 knots. At the maximum speed, the boat has a range of 300 nautical miles, which increases to 358 nautical miles at cruising speed (preliminary data).

The layout offers more space and amenities and has a large sliding glass door on the starboard side of the saloon connected to a retractable balcony and large openings bringing in natural light, similar to the new Custom Line 100 motor yacht series. The interior of the superyacht Ziacanaia is light and spacious, dominated by creams and light browns, with a good mixture between fabric and woods.

The new Navetta 33 Crescendo series by Ferretti Group also offers a larger sundeck with Jacuzzi and a large round dining area surrounded by circular glazed doors on the bridge deck.

M/Y Ziacanaia is able accommodate up to 10 guests in a master suite located forward on the main deck and four double cabins on the lower deck.

The new Navetta 33-meter Crescendo motor yacht Ziacanaia is powered by twin MAN V12 engines giving her a maxium speed of approximately 20 knots with a cruising speed of 16 knots.  She has a range of around 1,600 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Yacht Ziacanaia is expected to make her public debut at the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes in September 2011.

Important design solutions Navetta 33 Crescendo:

  • Increasingly more direct contact with the sea: the large salon on the main deck features a dining area, and reduces the visual and physical barriers blocking the view of the sea to a minimum. This has been achieved through a side featuring a system of sliding glazed doors and a foldable saxboard;
  • owner suite in a privileged position at bow on the main deck;
  • separation of the guest and crew flows, through dedicated crew area from the galley;
  • four spacious guest cabins on the lower deck, all with large, open view windows overlooking the sea and the opportunity to separate the beds, turning a double room into a twin;
  • large, highly versatile upper deck thanks to the system of circular sliding doors, with a dining area in a position of complete privacy;
  • the new sundeck features a small swimming-pool and sunbathing area.
