The famous Dutch sailing yacht builder, Jongert Shipyards, has launched superyacht Lucia-M, a 39 metre motor yacht (type 3900MY) – their first major motor yacht.

The Jongert motor yacht line – Lucia M being the first – was developed by the Jongert at the specific request of several of their yachting customers. It seems that many yachtsmen appreciate the design of the Jongert sailing yachts but prefer the size and interior space of a motor yacht.
Superyacht LUCIA M 39m is a fast semi-displacement aluminium yacht. The yacht’s new owner is a German hotel developer. Folkert Brongers, the general manager of Jongert Shipyards, is proud that two years ago the happy new yacht owner specifically chose Jongert to build his motor yacht.
Folkert Brongers states:
‘Superyacht Lucia-M is his third motor yacht and he is an experienced motor yacht owner. He knew Jongert for many years and when he wanted to have a new motor yacht built, he chose Jongert. In my opinion that’s a huge compliment.’
Yacht LUCIA M can be seen as a typical Jongert Yacht, whith all the Jongert attributes. In the past 57 years Jongert has built 325 sailing yachts, some of them of impressive size. The 3900 MY, superyacht LUCIA M (build number 429 overall), has been a success as the first large Jongert motor yacht.
‘This yacht is also a typical Jongert’, says Brongers. ‘The Lucia-M combines the well known Jongert quality with excellent qualities and technical innovations like the glass-bridge and a monitoring system. And just like the 5200M, our latest design in the sailing yacht line, the emphasis is on privacy, luxury, comfort and space. This motor yacht can be seen as the best in its class.’
