The first day of this year’s America’s Cup in San Francisco will be marked by New Zealand Superyacht Day, organized by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, in association with participating companies: Alloy Yachts, Events Clothing, Fitzroy Yachts, McMullen and Wing, as well as Southern Spars.

Silo Marina, located on Auckland’s waterfront in New Zealand, has increased its capacity and doubled its size, in order to accommodate yachts and to make it easier to install masts as it is getting ready for the upcoming season.

Another successful result of an excellent collaboration between America’s Cup and Southern Spars is a completion of the massive 40m carbon fibre wing for the freshly launched AC72 sailing yacht New Zealand, belonging to Emirates Team New Zealand (ETNZ).
The well known NZ builder Yachting Developments has successfully delivered the 30.48m (100ft) sailing yacht Q5 Quintessential (hull YD 66) to her new Owner, after completing her recent sea trials.
