Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Singapore, Mr. S Iswaran opened the much-anticipated inaugural Singapore Yacht Show at the ONE°15 Marina Club. The three-day event, which ran from the 8-10 April, featured an impressive flotilla of yachts brought to the exhibition by global industry leaders from the US, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Taiwan and China among others. The Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) in Singapore will introduce a the Advanced Power Pleasure Craft Driving licence in the second half of 2011 for those operating yachts 24m and above. “The Advanced Power Pleasure Craft Driving Licence is in anticipation of future pleasure craft which could be larger," an MPA spokesperson told MediaCorp. ... read full story
