The prestigious Dutch shipyard Vitters are happy to announce the launch of their latest yacht and largest carbon sloop ever built in the Netherlands, the superyacht Sarissa.
Green Marine one of the world’s leading specialists in advanced carbon fibre moulding techniques, has completed the build of one of the largest composite rudders ever made. The rudder was designed by Dubois Naval Architects for a 66 metre (216 foot) sloop, which is currently in-build at Vitters Shipyard in the Netherlands.
Vitters’ built 55m (180 ft) classic ketch Marie features a combination of classic lines with optimized performance. Sailing yacht Marie has set sail for the Carribbean where she will be available for luxury yacht charters and race charters.
Sailing yacht Sarissa has been launched by Green Marine prior to her fit out and completion by Vitters. She is not due to be finished and delivered to her owner until 2011. Sailing superyacht Sarissa follows in the footsteps of Cindarella IV with a carbon composite hull built by Green Marine, a fit out by Vitters Shipyard and an interior designed by Rhoades Young.
